Yea drones won’t auto-attack like other units, you need to use attack move at the very least. Losing in the situation Turin describes is pretty abysmal…
The only thing I learn from my replays is that I’m really really slow.
Fyi, that’s not me in that replay.
I haven’t even had a chance to watch it yet, I was just going on Turin’s description. I didn’t mean to offend, apologies.

Bug Fixes
[ul]
[li]Fixed a crash which sometimes occurred when quitting the program.[/li][/ul]
Very happy about the last one as my game was crashing 3 times out of 4 when quitting. The roach change is also a good one, can’t believe such a strong unit only had 1 supply before.
That seems like a huge change to roaches. 2 food instead of 1? Ouch.
Yea combined with the armor and health regen nerfs they already got, I feel Blizzard is kinda flailing about in the dark when it comes to roach balance to be honest. Same with Thors though imo.

That roach change is going to hurt early Zerg. Starting out the Zerg don’t have any real early counters to several easily produced units (marines, zealots, flame vehicle that I can’t remember their name right now).
If they decide to keep the food supply change they should buff back up roaches then to compensate. During my zerg games now I usually skip over roaches and try to fast tech up to lair to get hydralisks as I can do more with them.
Seems like it would hurt the early Roach rush more than anything, but really, you can just make one less Roach and one more Overlord, no?
What does the Thor change mean? I can’t tell if they’re talking about collision area or targeting range or something else entirely.
It’s just the size of the Thor on-screen, so he’s easier to control and maneuver.

Even with trying to organize my unit producing buildings I still can’t handle the macro with any side, either I get rushed out of the gate or lose all my units due to mis clicking during combat. At this point I would take completely noob tips at this game, I can’t even beat copper level people anymore.
edit: here are my recent batch of losses including one when I rage quit out of.

I know youve got old replays of your play somewhere- could you post some new ones? I know I would watch them( and we should do some friednyl 2v2s).
You are attack moving on every single combat right? that one tip has helped me more than anything( hit A and then left click near the enemy)
First game, you blocked your ramp, wrong. Like your opponent did, it’s always best to block choke points rather than ramps, specially on large maps, unless you are expecting a very early push.
Secondly, no scouting; 1vs1 scouting is a decisive part of winning, both because you get intel about what the other player is planning to do and also because you can disrupt his macro flow by walking around on his base or even better, has protoss, you can plant a pylon on/near his base to later screw him over.
Thirdly, you were sitting on 400 minerals and he had not made a single push and still you didn’t take that natural expansion, IMO wrong move.
Your opponent managed to expand early and get his observer on your base and maintain a strong economy, you were stacking stalkers and didn’t move them/scout out fast enough. You opponent however did, he rushed his stalker/zealot force ASAP since he saw you were slacking and expanding very slowly.
Good microing on the ramp though, should have pumped one more sentry and use Force Field (like you did) instead of wasting energy on the Guardian Shield.
I’m no Day9 or HD or Husky but some of those mistakes you did I’ve made them myself and it’s truly a “learn with your mistakes” game, don’t be surprise to have 50+ games under your belt and still make mistakes, it’s how you adapt to them that makes you a better player.
Who is still key-hunting? I got one for ya.

I’m a total newbie (only played SC1 single-player), but I admit to being pretty fascinated by what I read about this game. If there’s not a more deserving home for it, I’d love to have a key.

I was the same a you, and I find myself currently at 4th place in copper league. It is quite easy to learn to play, but the more you play the more you learn the dynamics and strategies.
I’ve started to lock down a really nice Terran build the past day or so, I’ll post it here when I get it down perfect.
I mean the basic BO is perfect in theory I just have to figure out the little tweaks to optimize it a bit as well as figuring out when I can make a few timing pushes, as I’m being way too passive with it at the moment.
I watched some of those videos - looks like fun. I played SC1, I was really good at the losing. If anyone has a spare key that they don’t have a use for I would be happy to continue what I was good at in SC1 ;)
Post it now, we’ll help perfect it :)
