They promised an early July start for phase 2 of the beta, release date still looks solid. Just checked some forums and it looks like a new beta patch is out there now so it could be starting any time.

So they cancel BB’s pre-orders in response? It’ll be interesting to see if my key still works in the phase 2 of the beta.

Mine was canceled as well. Combined with the recent hacking of my Battle.net account, this has not been a good week.

Man I don’t know, I avoid Best Buy whenever possible. I assume you’re still in since all the key does is activate your bnet account’s beta access. As far as I can tell everyone who was in phase 1 of the beta should be in phase 2. Probably it’s just a mistake on BBs part.

I’ve been searching and it seems like it should be easy to find, but I can’t, so I ask. Anyone know if this will require the disc in the drive to play? I usually go digital distribution for everything, because I carry my laptop around and strongly prefer not to have to deal with discs, but Blizzard isn’t making it easy with the delay.

If it’s like every other Blizzard game from Starcraft on, once the game’s associated with your Battle.net account, you can freely download it whenever you want, no cd/dvd required. I can’t imagine them changing that.

I have to admit I wasn’t a big fan of the game in it’s first beta, I am hoping to get some team action this time around and rekindle my interest. Let me know if anyone is looking for games.

Looks like there are three ways to add friends:

Real ID via Battle.net email address, which makes your real name visible to that friend and his friends
Character Name and Character Code
Via Facebook

That’s cool. In the previous phase the only option was Real ID, and it wasn’t working very well. I’d have to add the same friends over and over again.

As soon as my internet comes back up I’m all over this. Can’t believe how much I missed the game when the Beta went down… Although I have kind of binged on League of Legends to make up for it.
