I think I may have to play through SC1 and Brood Wa with cheats just to get all the story again before next week. Getting excited about the new single player campaign.

I’m trying to go without cheats. The last couple Zerg missions are so goddamn hard.

Nice that they are going to offer a free beginner’s guide on the site, although I see BradyGames is offering an ‘official’ strategy guide too. I’ll probably pick up the BradyGames guide off of Amazon at some point.

Also note that the new forums are up with the Like and Dislike/Trolling/Spam options. I was really hoping they would go for a white or whiter background but oh well.

I haven’t paid attention so I don’t know if they’re opening the beta to everyone for the final weekend, but they just emailed me an invitation code. I have no use for it, so the first PM gets it.

Of course they’ll make their ship date. But tell me: Do you think Blizzard has stopped development on SC2, just because they’ve committed some bits to DVDs? When is a Blizzard product ever really finished? It’ll be in stores, but they’ll still be tweaking it… probably for years.

There were no dates on the latest beta invite, but it says “final weekend” what’s going on there? My email came in the middle of the weekend. By the time I downloaded it I wouldn’t have had any time to play.

Oh well, I think I’ll just forego the beta and wait for the retail release. It’s only a week anyway.

You can go on Best Buy’s web site and they list a bunch of stores that will have midnight openings.

There are midnight releases at the Gamestops here in the Phoenix area. I’m sure other places are doing it as well.
