One final note: outside chance Virginia hits 500,000 votes in today’s Democratic Primary. Compare and contrast to 2017, which was a record-setting turnout of 550,000.

Gumby’s is the worst.

Any place that sold an XXL pizza for under $5 around the year 2000 is really bad,

Ha. I was a delivery driver at a Gumby’s from 2000 to 2001, during my overtime year of college. In my one year of tenure, we had gone through four managers. A few years after I left, it was permanently shut down because of, as reported by local media, multiple health code violations.

Yummy Pokey Stix though. Those were like cheesy breads soaked in butter and garlic, then baked.

Who says there can’t be bipartisanship? So long as it’s something Mitch wants, then there’s no problem.

(Don’t know all the particulars of this bill but apparently it represents the largest investment in science and tech by the federal gov’t in a long time. Unfortunately it also includes $10 billion for Blue Origin, Bezo’s space company. I guess if we don’t give billionaires incentives then they’ll just take their toys and go home.)

Buffalo Chicken pizza is huge in the PA/WV/Western MD area. Fucking heathens.

Love the Buffalo Chicken Pizza, eat it with a side of Blue Cheese dipping sauce.

I’m a terrible person. If it’s just me, I’ll gladly have one of those Pizzas that other people love to hate on.

The Bacon Chicken Ranch Pizza
The Barbeque Chicken Pizza,
And of course, the most pizza that gets the most hate,
The Hawaiian Pizza.

That being said, Peppers and Pepperoni are also a good combination.
Or Peppers, Onions and Sausage.
And there is this one place in New Jersey that does Fennel Sausage with Butternut Squash, which is just divine. But that was seasonal. (I hope Treno’s survived the Pandemic).

This morning looks like the return rate on AB’s is at little less that 80%. Not certain how would compare to 2017 since we’re in a whole new ballgame now.

Jesus, I didn’t know they could ground a freakin’ plane!

“What is Biden doing about the cicadas?” is about to be the new cry.

Garland kinda sucks.
(emphasis added)

The Justice Department in a court filing Tuesday said it can “vigorously” defend a religious exemption from federal civil rights law that allows federally funded religious schools to discriminate against LGBTQ students, a move that surprised some LGBTQ advocates who said the wording went further than just an obligation to defend an existing law.

In the filing, the Biden administration said it “shares the same ultimate objective” as the conservative Christian schools named in the case.

Edit to add - OTOH, at least it’s independent.

JOE BIDEN keeps finding himself at odds with his own Justice Department.

Just in the past week, the Biden White House has felt compelled to publicly distance itself from Attorney General MERRICK GARLAND three separate times.

Gotta remember right now we don’t want cases before the court, because we don’t want to set bad precedents.

So what was Gilibrand’s excuse for not voting?

Someone had to push by her to get some ranch.

Guessing it’s procedural. This was a cloture vote, and Harris would need to vote to break the tie, but it would have failed anyway.

Yeah, 60 was needed for this to go anywhere so it’s not like this failed because of the missed vote but I’m fed up with members of Congress failing to show up to do their job.

I feel like they should be fined. If an NFL player gets fined for missing mandatory mini-camp it only seems fair. Who runs the Congressional Owners Union? I feel like it is us.

Very much this. And you can’t even meaningfully punish them for it, because what are you going to do - vote Republican? Not vote? Unless they can be primaried you’re just screwed because we only have one functional political party. It’s infuriating.
