Guess this goes here :P
Cool chart of how the ranked choices are shaking out. I think I read that Garcia only beat Wiley by 247 votes on the latest round!
Good on him. If there is one thing that few people can do as well as Biden, it’s connect with people who are grieving and my understanding is that it really helps.
My wish would be that he never has to do something like this, but it’s one more reason, if minor, for me to be grateful that he beat Trump.

I still greatly appreciate that we have an empathetic human being in the White House. Watching Trump’s malignant narcissism on display each and every day was enervating.
I wonder if Handy Man is providing Biden with the paper towel rolls to hand out to relatives of the victims?
No see the guy with the paper towels was Trump so that was handsy man.
That is a super cool visualization.

I wonder what the pundits will have to say about this.

With gas nearing $5/gallon in California I think I know.
Cookouts can cost even less than that - just mosey on over to your favorite burnt down forest and freely pick from a wide variety of BBQ’d animal corpses.
Obviously people at the White House are affluent and bathing in riches to afford such cookout prices, they sure as heck don’t shop at Aldi like us plebs. ;)
I made $.50 cents today on my day off, returning carts at Aldi!

Lumber is dropping back down to orbit at least, predicted to go down 45%
The inflation thing is rough, but I think after the initial spike, it should drop as the supply side gets better.
In the mean time, inflation will just mean my mortgage and student loans become less valuable. As long as my salary keeps up with inflation (and it does seem like salaries in general are going up), I am okay with this.
So you’re telling me I did my van remodel at exactly the wrong time? Damn.

The huge cost increase in specific items like cars or lumber is not actually inflation, it’s due to temporary disruptions in supply chains.

I understand that gas prices have nothing to do with the president. Trump or Biden have no say. But why is the price of gas rising?

Because tons of people are traveling post-Covid, so demand is anticipated to be up?

Demand for oil collapsed last year, due to covid.
Right now, demand is rebounding, but supply does not immediately respond to demand, so you have an intermediate period where prices spike.
It has essentially nothing to do with any government policy.
Everyone knows the first thing sneaky ol’ Joe Biden did after becoming President was sidle up to the Gas Prices Knob and twist that sucker to the right.
