I dunno. She’s a classic meerkat senator who every few months has to make sure she stands up to get some camera time. So no, I don’t think she was deliberately trying to get Republicans on board by playing possum. She’s likely to definitely want some more pay-fors and other stuff in the reconciliation bill regardless.
