I live in an area with wild turkeys. Those fuckers can certainly fly.

And there weren’t helicopters involved?

Ahh I did miss that, awesome!

Biggest family I know of is 9 people(2 adults and 7 kids).

My brother and I were driving back from a concert on a freeway in Montana. We’re blazing down the road at 75mph and one of those things comes sailing out of the bushes in the median and flew across the road in front of us. I was the passenger but there was no time to react. I saw it in slow motion. It passed over the hood. If the windshield hadn’t been there, I could have touched its feet as it passed in front of me. I’ve never come so close to being impaled by a flying turkey.

That’s not a sentence I expected to read in this lifetime.

The turkeys in my area near the Sacramento river will cross the road in front of cars and make the cars wait. I guess they were here first…

So why did the turkey cross the road?

It chose dare instead of truth.

Yah. Same here. Whole flock crossing the road. They are as mean as geese.

House voting on BBB tonight?

Wow, impressive if so. I guess the fact that we don’t know what’s in the final bill is on purpose to prevent media from scaring off ā€œyesā€ votes.

Unless it has extra goodies for coal company executives, severe means testing for disabled single parents who seek a $10/week SNAP benefit and provisions for weekly puppy kickings I expect ā€œMaserati Joeā€ Manchin will vote against it in the Senate.

Yes I’ve become cynical.

Well they did strip out anything that might annoy big pharma.

Quelle surprise!

It passes the House. Folks opposed will vote for it to not get crucified for being anti-Biden, knowing the Senate will butcher it more now.

About time to watch that scene again. Les Nessman is live at the scene.

Yeah, I’m not sure there was ever much doubt that the BBB would pass the house.

I actually mentioned that scene from WKRP in my eulogy for my Dad. I never saw him laugh harder in my life and that memory of him always stayed with me.

Has the House had a chance to vote on the BBB bill? Or is Kevin Fucking McCarthy still engaging in delaying tactics?

And of course Manchin and/or Sinema will be Lucy with the football.

Jeez this country. We’re fucking doomed.

CBO estimates that enacting this legislation would result in a net increase in the deficit totaling $367 billion over the 2022-2031 period, not counting any additional revenue that may be generated by additional funding for tax enforcement.

This is kinda good news.
