I laughed. Also, how low is the female political ceiling that the only time a woman is in charge is when a guy is getting his ass looked at?
EDIT: That sounds like a sexist joke. I’m leaving it, but meant it as sarcasm that we NEED a female president.
That’s my congressman! And hopefully he’s one of the safe ones in 2022.

My favorite take on McCarthy’s speech so far.

It is.
Gas is $3.30 here, I can get tickets to AEW for $50, and wine is $10-20.

I mean I am sure there are people paying $5 a gallon but…
This wouldn’t be the first time
There is probably only a handful of stations in one of a select few major metros this is true.
Also jesus fucking christ expensive wine has always been a thing. no ‘average American’ is spending $90 on a bottle, ever. The average American is more likely buying a $6 bottle of Barefoot or $9 bottle of Mango Moscato at Costco.

I mean, 5 bands 5 bucks is now 5 bands 15 bucks. Thanks Biden!

It’s all about pinning the inflation on Biden. We all know that it was inevitable and to be fair, not really the -direct- fault of any President. But again, the GOP sorry I mean the National Trumpist Party, needs things to throw out as soundbites for their decrepit racist ingrates who need to go vote in 2022 and 2024. “Biden caused all these high prices,” or, “Biden caused the inflation,” are part of this. “We need a true businessman to run this country,” etc.
It’s starting now, even prior to mid-term elections.
Sure, but you’d expect them to be less out of touch and more competent. $90 wine and $200 concert tickets do exist (and always have!) but ‘average people’ aren’t buying them. They should stick with the 8-adult-household milk costs.
I’m fed up! On average, my 8 adult children consume 12 bottles of $90 wine per week.
Well, I just paid $4.96/gal for gas in the Bay Area last night…not sure how “average” that is.
I don’t drink wine or go to Taylor Swift concerts, though, so I can’t vouch for those prices. The concerts I go to are typically still $10-$30.
Wait till you realize the banana is $10.
That’s not even a glass a day. What is this austerity you imposed? Is this some socialist trap? Do you and your partner have your own budget for some real wine?

SF gas prices are $1.50 above most of the US.
I’m pretty sure if I go to Trader Joe’s today the ‘regular folks’ wine brands are not going to be $90.
commie with your fancy stores.
Got a bottle of Merlot there this week for $1.99.

The last wine I doubt was a $7 bottle from Aldi’s. A pretty good watermelon wine.
