He kinda acts like a guy who would like to be able to do enough good to be re-elected, doesn’t he?
The guy only tweets like twice per day and hasn’t insulted a single person on Twitter since he took office. Don’t get me started on how he doesn’t even golf on the weekends. The guy is obviously not fit to be President. Some people are even saying he’s Low Energy. I prefer Presidents who repeatedly tell me about what a great job they are doing so I don’t have to pay attention to such things.

I don’t even think that Biden is doing any of his work in order to get re-elected. I’m sure that he’d like to keep working, but for the work itself.
Yes, I think that’s true.
It is despicable. Biden could pick up a Sharpie in order to prevent these storms, perhaps by redrawing the direction of one of the arrows, and by doing so he could prevent untold damage:
And yet he refuses to do so. And does he even have a strategy for nuking central Mississipi in order to disrupt the build up of dangerous winds?
He hasn’t even held a single rally.
WHY ARE YOU HIDEN BIDEN?!?!?

J&J vaccine is getting administered in good numbers in San Jose, and Santa Clara county for that matter. My wife got Pfizer along with other teachers in her school district, but I have heard that now a lot of them are getting J&J too. Some local pharmacies (Rite Aid) in particular are also giving J&J shots.

Let’s discuss this (if it’s not in another thread somewhere).
I’m all for bringing back the Talking Filibuster instead of abolishing it altogether. Let America watch the idiots on live TV blather on about Green Eggs & Ham and let the people know that no Senate business can get done because Senator Jerkface from Tx has his panties in a wad about __________.
Could there be rules made where only one Senator can filibuster, as opposed to lining up 49 of them to each take turns holding the floor?

I’m not sure of the parliamentarian details, but typically a right of one Senator is the right of all Senators. I imagine it would be hard to limit the filibuster right to a single person, unless the rule was that only majority/minority leaders can do a filibuster.
In practice, talking filibusters seem to delay but mostly fail to prevent cloture, I think. Personally, I think the 41 votes to continue debate rule change would work better. So, instead of needing 60 votes to end debate, you need 41 to continue debate. It forces the filibustering party to keep at least 41 Senators on the floor at all times, else the other party can call a vote to continue debate which then fails, forcing cloture.
Yeah, my understanding favors this approach as well.

While not technically administration related not sure where to put this
Looks like pork is back on the menu boys.
Should be just in time for infrastructure week.
I am completely in favor of earmarks if it gets good legislation moving again.

Yeah. I was trying to remember why I thought this was an okay thing.

The best way to build bipartisanship is earmarked spending!
Totally in favor of re-introducing earmarks.

I mean, I get why they took earmarks out initially. I think I probably even had a positive view of doing so at the time. It can be a bit slimy, but sometimes slime is what keeps the gears of government lubricated, right? It would be a lot easier for a Utah rep to sign on with the a Democratic bill if they could take something concrete back to their constituents and talk that up instead.
I mean, in theory, anyway. We are talking about the modern GOP that is bragging to their constituents about the benefits of the COVID relief bill they all voted against, so who knows.
