Looks like Manchin might be off the hook on the filibuster, a lot of Dem Senators sending out signals that they aren’t on board.

In interviews Wednesday, at least seven additional Democratic caucus members said that they weren’t willing to scrap the supermajority requirement for most legislation just yet. Their reluctance shows how challenging it will be to get all 50 members of the Democratic caucus on board with fundamentally altering the rules of the Senate, despite pressure from progressives both on and off the Hill. Senate Majority Whip Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) said “there are several senators who have expressed concerns” within the caucus about a rules change.

Meh, they’re saying that they aren’t “on board” for completely removing it. If you change the questions to “Are you cool with filibuster reform?” then all of a sudden you have a very different result… especially if you don’t define what “reform” means.

Which is why Dems haven’t defined what the reform is. Among the 9 Dem senators, I don’t see any consensus on what the reform should be.

They really don’t have better things to do. As if the 24/7 news cycle wasn’t bad enough already, media got so used to the Outrage of the Day™ that they don’t know how to cover a President who’s not a raging dumpster fire.

Do you think “you” refers to Biden?

He clarified.

Next question is who is Ari Cohn and why did we have to look at his stupid tweet. I guess that’s two.

I guess I should state for the record that I don’t care about the answer to either question.

Tadpoles.

Tadpoles is a winner.

Your joke is inside, for ball one!

Put that on a t-shirt. Or is this a well used phrase that I just haven’t heard before?

I believe that the original quote is that ‘greasing the palm’ is a comment about bribes.

Becerra confirmed for HHS. Vote along party lines, 50-49…but honestly no real drama here. Dems were in lockstep.

Biden tapping former senator and astronaut Bill Nelson to head NASA.

Still mad that we lost him for fucking Rick Scott.

DeWine is slow rolling the election to replace Marcia Fudge (expectations were for a May primary and August general election).

Dumb.
