Ah, what he said. This thread moves fast. As for sweet red, as mentioned Sangria - I find the 1L bottles at Costco to be tasty for easy drinking.
With the way my stomach is doing somersaults over this counting business, I’ve been sticking to straight water :)
These guys are like Nixon’s henchmen, just 50 times dumber.

Just make sure to read the summary on the bottle or ask the person at the wine shop. I am a “really dry and not at all sweet” wine drinker, and while Rieslings and Gewurztaminers that are sweet, there are also a ton of them that are as dry and unsweet as a stone. So I hate when I accidentally get a sweet one, but you might hit the opposite, and I would hate for that to happen - they are lovely wines in general.

Philadelphia election officials have not provided an update on when they’ll finish counting ballots, but next-door Bucks and Montgomery counties are nearing a full count.
They are outstanding and are the only white I will drink, though I think they are fruity and citrusy but with a dry taste. I mean they are still a white wine, but I wouldn’t call them sweet on the spectrum of whites that I’ve tried. More like “bright”. I love really dry reds mostly, though, so these are positive descriptions in my view.

Huh, that’s much sweeter than expected. I’m usually on the red side myself, so haven’t tried them. If I see one I might have to pick it up for the wife.

Every time i hear an accusation by the Trump team, i feel i hear a confession. It makes me wonder if this is what they did, now and in 2016.

Yeah I have a bottle of that which I dice up fruit and put in sometimes. It’s decent enough for sure.
Yes, Water, that is what’s in this rocks glass. Crystal clear, refreshing, water.

If only there was a way to have a different thread to talk about wine that’s not inside the thread talking about the election.
Too bad we don’t have that technology and all discussions must happen in the same thread.
Yeah, maybe I’m associating the big bright fruit in those with sweet. But to my palate it is sweet, without the heavy sugars.
I’ve developed a mathematical formula for how much buckling up you should do when you see results:
For example, if Nevada releases 375 ballots from the WESTERN half of Orson County (so, set p = 0.44) and it’s 12:30pm Eastern time (so, set t = 45) and you slept for 2.5 solid hours last night, then divide 375 by 0.44, subtract 45 from 1000, multiply the results by 0.023, set that equal to M, and then
BUCKLE_UP = [ (50p + number of delegates at large) * M ] / log(number of times opening this thread)
You may need to augment by the sine of how many times your emotions have fluxed in the past 30 minutes.
If you can spring for German Riesling you can loot at the type to determine how sweet, starting from just sweet:
Spatlese->Auslese->Beerensauslese->Trockenbeerenauslese
The latter can be almost viscous and is more of a desert wine. For domestics you can key in on “late harvest” to know you’ll definitely get a very sweet Riesling.

Really we should all be drinking just Brawndo, it’s what the body needs.

We’re still tabulating votes on whether to create a separate thread. There’s between 1 and 100k votes outstanding.
