I hear you… I’m going through the same thing.
The analytical part of my brain is looking at stuff and saying, “This seems fine,” but then the low level lizard brain is just thrashing around in terror.
Yeah, I need to see AZ firmly as a win and then NV. I am still worried that Biden won’t overcome Trump in PA and GA.
I think we have a '24 GOP candidate!

Yup. They don’t call state route 50 the lonliest road in America for nothing.

I love the contrast between Biden and Trump tweets. I know what man we need to be President.

Honestly, at this point, it looks like PA is the safest bet, that we’ll know soonest.
We literally have one man saying ‘let’s be patient and count the votes’ and the other one saying ‘STOP THE COUNT!’ I don’t understand how anyone who gives two shits about democracy can support the latter.

Well… that’s the rub, ain’t it. :)

The longer this ballot counting process drags out, the less time Trump and his administration will have to begin the transition over to Biden. How will they have time to properly update the COVID playbook, plans for climate change prevention, etc??
On reddit they had a video with two videos matched up side by side from Trump supporters in Arizona on the left and then I think Philadelphia on the right. They were then simultaneously chanting “Stop the vote” and “Count the vote”. It was surreal.

Don’t forget infrastructure week, only two months left to roll that out.
From Nate Silver:
A little inside baseball, but this dynamic may affect how different networks are handling Nevada. If you’ve called Arizona (which I don’t think you should have!), then a Nevada call would give Biden the election. But Nevada is probably callable at this point!
If Nevada is decisively Biden, as now seems likely, and everyone calls it, Fox is going to have a crazy tense decision about uncalling Arizona. Because, if they don’t, they got to call the whole thing.

Oh my god, you’re right. This is going to delay infrastructure week :( And what about The Wall? Please don’t forget to leave the thumb drive with the blueprints on the Oval Office desk, sir!

Looks like about 7 million total votes cast. Jorgeson eats up about 71k of those, so Trump/Biden need something like 3.47 million to win. Biden currently needs about 350,000 more votes and Trump needs about 250,000 more. We’ll see.

At least Fox remains consistent in its messaging…err, somewhat.

All jokes aside, I don’t really expect that Trump’s campaign is going to have any transition team at all. I can’t see them being willing, or competent enough to actually prepare materials.
Biden is probably just going to have to operate on the intel briefings he’s getting now, and he’ll probably just call up a bunch of the old obama team folks and get them in place for the short term.

Isn’t it federal law that they have to? So if they don’t, would there be any actual legal consequences?

Fortunately, Biden won’t be starting with zero knowledge of government the way Trump was.

You don’t need to transition when you left all the positions empty. Maybe tell them where the remote is for the TV?
