I have been watching the lower-volume of ballots now being counted in Philadelphia. It’s kind of awesome.
In the distance in the camera shot, you can see workers processing ballots. They check the signatures, and then backwards-fold the creases to make them lie flatter and go through the scanner easier.
Eventually when they get enough ballots processed, a ballot counter on either side (way in the distance or right next to the camera) picks up the stack of ballots and walks them over. The ballot counters also reverse the creases just a bit, and then make sure everything’s in bank order (faced correctly and right-side up) and put them into the scanner.
The scanner has this big receipt of paper that looks like an old dot-matrix printer thingy with the accordion-fold paper that drops into a box below the table and scanner.
Then the counter reads the visual readout, checks the receipt, and puts them into a cardboard box. Then the counter fills out a sheet that I think is backup hand bookkeeping, and inserts in top of the ballots in the banker’s box. Then he or she writes something on the outside of the box, and puts sealing tape over it and all around it. And it gets stacked onto a pallet to be placed into secure quarantine in case of a recount.
That’s a HOF tweet right there.
This response tweet explaining it is great as well:

Is DNC chair an appropriate job for Stacey Abrams?
Yes, she needs to apply what she did to the rest of the South.
(That is a presidential ticket I would maybe quit my job to try to find a way to work on)
Midnight. I’m so tired. Almost there. :/
For Georgia, remember that there’s still oversea/military ballots that will (probably) lean Trump. Biden probably needs a few thousand as a cushion to cover that and the recount.

So, am I OK to be feeling like NV is pretty much a done deal, and the midnight Clayton drop will drop the hammer?
As others have said, they can’t call GA because of overseas absentee ballots from the military. And provisional ballots.
BUT: Nevada is in the bag, yes.
No one wants to call it because it effectively makes Joe Biden President because of what might be a premature call of Arizona by two networks.
You are not allowed to feel okay until we all feel okay.
I’m pretty sure she’d rather be the executive producer for the next Star Trek series or movie.

Yeah, but GA is so close anything could flip it back to Trump. Like the military ballots mentioned.
PA is looking like a Biden win though, so GA would be icing on the cake.

From what I’ve heard about Trump’s speech earlier my biggest fear, living in a major city, isn’t that far-right militias start trying to live out their Turner Diary fantasies, but rather the fact that unless the 25th Amendment is invoked Trump will still have the Biscuit for two and a half months.
No one can stop President Trump from using nuclear weapons. That’s by design.
If it’s a choice of 270 or losing, I’ll take 270.
But all those extra states will be nice, because you know Shitgibbon is going to demand electors defy their voters.

But the provisional ballots should lean Biden - they are votes cast by people who were nervous that the USPS would not deliver their mail-in-ballots in time. That’s a Democratic concern, not a GOP one.

Lovely, my first move would be to look up Aaron Franklin’s Youtubes, any expansions on that?

But Trump said soldiers were losers and suckers!
