They were 100% wrong to call it and should have taken it back, but whatever it made Trump mad so it’s all good.

Kudos to Hillyard for being very clear and patient about explaining the Arizona outstanding votes.

Seems like I recall Fox being very, very focused on being the first to make the call in previous elections.

It took a lot of steam out of DJT’s idea to declare victory Tuesday night, so mistaken or not, good call.

Yup when they called it they were looking at bad numbers and then didn’t want to back down. And they got lucky that it won’t matter.

Arnon Mishkin at FOX is so well-respected in the industry that I have to believe they fully redid their projection algorithm after that and made a deliberate decision that they were still right and could stand by their call.

I honestly don’t think they were necessarilly looking art bad numbers.

I think the idea that the ballots outstanding were going to somehow carry Trump was a pipe dream… The idea that Trump was gonna get like 60% of the mail in ballots was nonsense.

We know they had bad numbers on Tuesday – everyone did. Edison Research undershot the outstanding vote.

It’s a little oversimplified, but that changes (slightly, in this case) the denominator.

Fair enough. They know a heck of a lot more than I would about it. I so badly wanted Arizona because of what he did to Mccain. If my wife hadn’t banned me from posting political stuff on facebook they would be a Mccain thumbs down right about now. I agree with her that laying low is a much better idea.

Being in Bosnia when the war broke out makes her a bit paranoid about getting into politics. Which I can really blame her. ;)

We’ll get 50k ballots reported at the top of the hour from Nevada.

I’m watching a bit of Fox now and then as long as they are doing their main election coverage(everything else is Fox being Fox). They had Arnon on yesterday going over his process and how his team leaves their partisanship at the door. He even went over his political donation history. They then went on to address several other of the conspiracy theories going around.Sad that he has to do that, but props to Fox for just kind of head on dealing with the crap going around in conservative circles.

Ah, ok… well even so… like I said, I think the idea that Trump was going to pull in mountains of mail in ballots was kind of magical thinking.

Biden’s lead almost 9,000 in PA now.

I remember this hilarious fiasco

I want to thank everyone in this thread, most of all triggercut, for helping me stay sane and somewhat happy over these past few days. A ROUND OF PIZZA FOR EVERYONE BARTENDER.

This article makes me feel a little giddy inside.

/r Conservative is having an epic meltdown on Reddit. Half the posts are being culled due to threats of violence and fake election fraud posts.

I’ll be dancing when the electors are certified. Georgia gets a recount, as per their secretary of state.

During the 2020 election, Raffensperger sought to prevent Georgia polling places from having printing paper backups of voter registration and absentee voting information in case polling places would struggle to use voter check-in tablets, called Poll Pads, which had been problematic in Georgia’s primary elections earlier that year. The tablets had caused long lines at polling places. Voting rights groups had requested paper backups to prevent a risk of chaos on election day in case the tablets failed.[16]
