This. Being on the Supreme Court is a (literally) once in a lifetime thing, about the apex of what anyone who wants to be a judge above the local level can aspire to. The type and scope, too, of the sort of cases that will probably come their way in a Biden presidency will also be more likely to let them make a name for themselves, especially as it they will be able to be seen as defending from the socialists, or whatever. Sure, I guess anything is possible, but you’d have to be pretty dumb to screw with the sweet position they find themselves in now.

Of course, there are a couple on the bench that ain’t too bright, so…

Pennsylvania stats counting the quarantined ballots at 5pm. These are the ballots that had to be replaced after the contractor sent tens of thousands of wrong ballots to voters. I think there are something like 30,000 of them but I’m not sure of that number. But they are almost all from Biden territory so they are not going to break Trump’s way. And they are going to be slow to count, because they have to verify that there isn’t a duplicate vote from the original wrong ballot.

Again, I generally agree with this, but in what way can anyone screw up their position on the Supreme Court? They know they will never be impeached. They have 100% job security no matter how they rule.
