Why hurry?

The longer you wait – once the winner is clear, mind you – the longer you give Trump time to undermine and sow doubt about the outcome’s validity.

Part of me wonders if outlets are just enjoying wringing the last bits of eyeball drawing drama. This feels like the same mistake as everything backwards about Trump and media. Another part of me thinks maybe the longer this goes on and the more Trump spends energy on complaining, the less time he will have to trash everything and stoke anarchy on the way out. This suddenly makes the delay feel weirdly safer.

I imagine it is true for probably the entire White House staff, cooks, butlers etc. Joe is so good with the “little people” that I’m sure they are just delighted.

Biden probably knows most of them already and shit about their lives.

I can easily imagine VP Biden spending forever just talking to Secret Service people, cooks and the like and asking about random shit. It’s the kind of politician he is. “Hey Jerry, how’s the new house working out? Your kid still having trouble with algebra?”
