It’s not about Trump, It’s about the 48% people that voted for him. You can’t spend the last 3 days saying “Count The Votes” and then stop as soon as Biden gets ahead, by Margins that are much smaller than Trump had yesterday, amidst the GOP calling “fraud!” It’s terrible optics, with nothing to gain. Count the Votes.

We just spent the last few days counting the votes. I mean literally that’s what they’re doing. You’re acting like it’s Wednesday instead of Friday and that all the information we’ve received since then didn’t happen.

You realize there’s a difference between calling the state decided and counting the remaining votes, right? All the votes are always counted, the count doesn’t stop just because the states is called. That’s how we end up with recalling the awarding of states - such as in 2016. If we stopped counting once a state was awarded, we never would have had 4 years of trump.
Biden will be making some statement in ~15 minutes.

NO ONE here is suggesting that ‘calling it’ means to stop counting.
No one is proposing any such thing. I think you misunderstand what’s being discussed. Traditionally, once it’s clear who is likely to win, the television networks would declare a “projected winner.” There’s nothing official about that pronouncement and it has no impact at all on the continued counting of votes or certification of election results.

I’ve seen enough. I don’t think there’s that much vote out there of any sort; maybe a few more overseas ballots, but I doubt it’ll move things more than 1500 votes. And that should be a sufficient buffer in a recount.
