Even though really this means nothing compared to five minutes ago, I still feel a weight lifted, and a comfortable, warm feeling in my guts. Sort of the opposite feeling I had from four years ago.

I wonder if Trump’s BS press conference finally forced the network execs to pull the trigger: they may have thought that if they had avoided a call they would be abetting the BS that’s going to flow at the press conference and they didn’t want that stink on them.

Until this election it never occured to me that it was such a big deal that the media call an election. I still don’t understand why we care. Now that the media has weighed in, what electoral mechanism or process does that allow to change?
Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad they did, I just don’t understand what this does besides make people feel good.
