Some amazing “Real Men of Genius” energy from the 12,300 Nevadans who went out of their way and stood in line, mailed ballots, or dropped them off with “None of these candidates” marked as their vote choice.

Every time I tell someone NV has a “none of the above” option, they respond “I wish WE had that!”, and then I tell them that it almost never gets more than 1-2% of the vote. Even the Reid/Angle and Clinton/Trump races were never able to push it to 3.

It does better in the primaries, but even then, 10-12% is usually the limit.

I could see using it for local races, especially those local races where people are running unopposed or there are two candidates and they’re both equally terrible. What happens if “none of the above” wins?
