These people are universally masked (or very close to it). She is not totally right. She’s trying to score political points by comparing dissimilar events in the most cynical way possible. At the same time, her false equivalence serves to encourage Trump supporters to continue engaging in the same irresponsible behavior they’ve followed all along.
No one suggested he did.
Yup, and he’s a super-spreading piece of shit for having done so (in addition to all the other ways he’s a piece of shit.)
The statement that’s correct is that Biden should probably gently suggest that his supporters NOT all cram into close proximity with one another during a global pandemic.
Yup. And she’s doing an excellent job of it because these crowds are making it damn easy to score these particular points.
Absolutely and, again, the crowds are making it easy.
It’s an unchecked pandemic, maybe we could exercise a little caution?
Hmm, how can it be that late if it’s only 2 pm on the US west coast? Are you in Europe?
Yep. Also, what I’ve seen from most places makes me believe people are taking mostly sufficient precautions. Masks, and distanced enough outdoors. The mass of people at the WH, though, I think are just crammed in too closely. I wouldn’t want to be in that crowd.
Oh, and Kay-lee can go fuck herself with her mendacity and hypocrisy.
Yawn. Just go away (or to prison, better yet), you choad. Everyone loathes you, believe me.
I can only go by the pictures which are mostly of DC crowds and yeah, the proximity there gives me hives. I hope you’re right that it’s better in other places. I don’t want to rain on anyone’s parade but at the same time the middle of a pandemic is not a good time to have a parade.
Timestamps on Discourse-embedded tweets are fucked. I think they might be in UTC.

Not sure, when I copy the Twitter link, it says 9PM, maybe because I’m connected to EU VPN

Congratulations US, thanks for doing your bit to make DJT a one term president!
Cry some more, you dumb fuck! (obviously meant for Trump. No idea why the embedded Tweet won’t appear.)
I do feel for the Secret Service agents, though. Crowds like that, especially crowds with a non-zero chance to turn actively hostile in the wrong circumstances, have to give them the heeby-jeebies. Plus, I’m willing to bet many of them are less than happy to have to be guarding this particular president, even though their professionalism will of course not let any of that show.
From what I can find, the ingredients that resulted in the Black Lives Matter protests not being spreader events were masks, outdoors, sunlight, wind, and not using shared indoor facilities like restaurants or bars. It seems like all of these are present in D.C. right now.
I’m personally extra-cautious when it comes to this stuff, though.
