In Brazil, in 2010, we elected the first female president in our history.

She was reelected in 2014, despite a somewhat rocky first term.

Then she was “relieved” in a “democratic coup” in 2016, and the forces behind that coup unwillingly (or willingly?) enabled the far-right, Trump-adoring Bolsonaro to be elected in 2018 - and he used the same techniques Trump used to get to power.

In 2 years of this term, he has done enough damage that we’ll take decades to fix, and everything points to him winning a second term in 2022.

So if Biden gets elected (and Kamala with him), make sure it counts. Or it won’t.
