Fuck Rove in the ass in the Alps, but of course he’s right here.
Not around his neck, but the neck of every Republican up for reelection in 2022. Make it so that the leading question for every incumbent Republican in 2022 is “Why haven’t you tried to work with McConnell to move forward with this legislation that limits corruption/helps people/etc?”

He added “I mean we’ve tried. We’ve gamed out all the scenarios. If there were a way we’d have found it.”
He and his wife came into the restaurant I managed in a past life one evening. And he was absurdly nice. Like “Are you on Lithium?” nice.
I’m choosing to believe Biden when he says nothing will fundamentally change.
Unfortunately.

I feel like Rove is a smart, amoral, rather than immoral man. He’s about winning for the folks who pay him.

Yeah Maine is going back to Collins. Even if the second round gets kicked off there’s not enough votes to beat her. I’m not surprised she won but I am surprised by how much, I thought it would be close.
Agreed, based on what I have heard regarding where the ret of the votes are.
But do you have any info on Arizona? I hate to be paranoid, but
a) when the NYT last posted the info late into the night, it looked like that was the one state where most of the remaining votes were to come from red areas,
b) an error has just been corrected such that there are more remaining votes than previously thought, and
c) when a campaign (not just the asshole candidate) keep complaining about a call for hours, they often have reasons
But I can find very little info now on the state.

Biden is expected to address the American people at some point today, his campaign manager, Jennifer O’Malley Dillon, tells reporters.

I see only 85% of vote counted in Maricopa which has been strong for Biden, so I don’t think it’s just red areas that are outstanding.
And Pima (which is Tucson.)
Fox and AP seem to be standing by their call.
This perfectly describes nearly all of the Conservative Trump-loving friends I have here on the west side of Cincinnati, and believe me, they are legion. Super nice people who have no concept of the fact that they’re being lied to and manipulated daily by Fox News, politicians, religious leaders, etc. into playing their part in keeping the status quo. Don’t try to open their eyes either, because then you’re either an elite know-it-all who looks down on regular people or one of those socialists who wants to take all their hard earned money away and give it to the freeloaders. These people haven’t just drunk the Kool-Aid, it runs through their veins and powers their very existence. I have no idea how we break this stranglehold on 40% of the population without literally banning Fox News, OAN, Facebook, etc…and at that point we’ve become the very totalitarian fascists we fear.
I am disappointed in my fellow Americans this morning. We can’t blame poor turnout either, as we had record turnout this cycle, it’s just that more people than we would have ever expected seem to have fallen under the Trump/GOP/“No Socialism!” siren song. Even if Joe Biden wins, Democrats need to be ready to mobilize in this kind of force at EVERY election for a decade or more. There are more American Idiots out there than anyone ever suspected, and battling them to save the nation is going to take several election cycles.
Probably “because Joe Biden will bring SOCIALISM TO AMERICA without a GOP Senate!!1!” Or some other nonsense.
This country’s fucked.

While at the individual ballot level that’s the case, but beyond that who knows? Georgia Repugs stole the election from Stacey Abrams.

I did a quick scan of the “red” counties and they’re A) small and B) almost all above 90% reporting. So seems like Trump would have a pretty big uphill fight to win a lot of the outstanding vote in Maricopa to swing it into his column? He’s gotta make up 3.4% or so.

So basically selfish assholes that put on a nice cover.

Yes.
And in the same breath, Joe Biden would have won in 2016.
Hey, you brought it up.
Thank you both. I feel pretty confident that Biden has won the election, but that definitely assumes Arizona is really his. If not, it would be more than a wait, it would be ultra tense.
