Yep. Thus, let’s not lump things along state lines or by relative income, that’s a pretty nasty road to go down. Imagine if someone were talking about a black neighborhood as a shit neighborhood that was lesser than the white neighborhoods because they paid more in taxes.
Maybe that’s due to being (too) focused on the big picture? Personally I can’t help it, it’s how I think (which is not.to say that can’t change.)

I mean it’s a burble because people want things to change, and it’s clear that aside from cleaning up the Executive, nothing is going to change. Because the GOP is the party of default and rejection of change, if the GOP wins they win, but also if the government is mixed, the GOP wins.

Expectations are everything. We had hoped for a strong rebuke of Trumpism and control of the Senate and instead we eke out a victory by the narrowest of margins with no senate control while Trumpism increased its overall number of votes. It’s a pyhrric victory.
So we dig in and fight harder. I don’t know about you, but nothing I’ve experienced comes close to what the African Americans in the '50s and '60s civil rights movement had to deal with routinely.
This is right about the moment when one of those scientists loads his child into an escape pod and fires him towards another planet.
