There are also books about other things. Like, y’know, finance, or accounting. Maybe he should have read a couple.

Less than a year between these takes. I wonder what made this libertarian magazine suddenly so pro-regulation.

That’s what I love about libertarians. They are anti any government until they face negative personal consequences, then they suddenly become quasi-fascist big-government supporters in a heartbeat.

Government exists to serve libertarians and their interests. It is known.

The Libertarians I’ve known have all practically drowned in white privilege and are seemingly oblivious to all the advantages that a stable and functioning government provided that they built (or inherited) their success on. In their mind, it was all due to the hard work and cleverness on their part, everyone else around them are just leeches who want to siphon away their success.

Myopic narcissists, all of them.

Truer words, etc.

If that’s his singular goal, he’s doing about as well at it as he did managing his customers’ money.

I am shocked! Shocked!

It’s as if effective $, but without openness, leads to tainted altruism.

Crypto news sites are in the bag and just shills hired to pump the stock, er, cryptocoins? Who could have possibly imagined?!?!?!?!?

The real issue, which won’t go away for a long time, is that most of those covering crypto for “real” “respectable” media are also in-the-bag crypto shills. But the respectable media will never admit it, both because it makes them look bad, and because the people running it are so clueless about how crypto works they almost certainly have no idea whether the reporters they have covering it have conflicts of interest or not.

They don’t care about being accessories to the death of democracy, why would they care about whether or not crypto is scam?

Agreed.

It could be an interesting intellectual exercise to try reducing big books to 6 paragraphs, but to do it right would require reading the original stuff lol.

Coin Telegraph headline: “Florida best-prepared US state for widespread crypto adoption: Research”

… Yeah, that checks out. Florida man would be totally into crypto.

Also, a lot of elderly people ripe for the fleecing.

Perhaps we should workshop a way to tie crypto to communism…

This is great.

I was pretty sad at how little traction it got in the moment, hah. Thanks!

Turns out cryptos and communism looks very capitalist.

That can’t be real

I didn’t realize what it was at first! He’s convincingly awful for a while before it gets going. Very funny.
