Fucking wow.
Good news for him, he knows some competent lawyers who he was just talking to.

His attorney is fantastic.

Yeah she seems fun. I also think she just picked up another case.

This was posted a couple of years ago when it happened. I am kind surprised it’s making new rounds. I mean the issue remains… well the same, but still the video is not new.

They should all sue the hell out of that school. They have nothing to stand on. They passed the tests.

This came up recently, where a friend’s kid (a white girl, honor student) was given a mandatory drug test in public school.
When did this become a thing? Mandatory drug tests for students seems like an absurd violation of privacy to me.

In the past, they’ve gotten around this for people on sports teams. Since being on a sports team was voluntary, the required drug test was also “voluntary.”

Not just sports but most the extracurricular activities require students to sign things or have declarations that basically go beyond the requirements of just being a student. And some of that is due to travel.
But some of these examples… they passed the test. The teachers involved need to be fired and the schools sued.

Hmm… this might have been the way they did it to the kid I know. I know she’s in various extracurricular activities.
Still bullshit, but perhaps less so than “you need to take a drug test to attend public school.”

I’ve got two black friends! Why would anyone ask me for facts on something I did in the past?

“The thing that’s lost in that is, being white, you don’t know what it’s like, but you could feel that emotion in this room. So, imagine being a black kid and feeling that on a weekly basis.”
It’s daily but close enough.
For those who aren’t aware: Saline is about 15 miles south of Ann Arbor. A2 is almost certainly the most diverse town in Michigan, but Saline, while housing a lot of faculty and staff from the University of Michigan, is also a very white town. Oh, and Chela’s is good food.

“It’s always around you,” he said. “It’s microaggressions. It doesn’t always come in the form of something totally, obviously racist. Oftentimes, that’s not what racism looks like. I don’t think there’s ever been a long period of time where I didn’t see either the effects of racism or racism itself in any situation.
Yeah, he seems to understand the situation well too.
