Get a Moto phone and they have an option thst let’s you film landscape while holding the phone vertically.
NYPD pushes car through protesters. If you click through there’s another video from another angle. Ends too soon and starts too late.
The majority of people watch it in portrait though. Well, young people. On phones. Not us, old men with landscape monitors.

Yeah, but what’s the poor cop going to do? He’s completely surrounded on exactly one side. It’s a little known fact that police vehicles don’t have a Reverse.
Missed his calling as a train conductor.

It should be laid bare to all by now with these videos showing policemen continually making bad decisions when confronted that there’s a failure in training and in hiring.
This would obviously all be horrible anyway, but on top of everything else I keep looking at it and thinking what the COVID death toll spike is going to look like in a couple weeks in these communities.
Here’s the overhead shot.
I can’t even talk to my wife about what’s going on because that’s all she can see. After months of trying to keep her 110 residents safe and healthy, when she sees a crowd all she can think is how many people are going to get sick.
Yeah, I don’t want to in any way minimize what’s going on here but holy shit this is going to be bad. I guess we’re going to find out how much outdoor airflow mitigates transmissions rates, I dearly hope the answer turns out to be “a lot.”
I live smack in the middle of the Fairfax District of L.A. It’s been nonstop sirens and helicopters for hours now, but I haven’t gone out to take a closer look.
This Atlanta video is absolutely horrifying. The police outnumber the two occupants significantly, but that doesn’t stop them from escalating the situation on live TV.
Witnesses on the scene said the only arrow he fired was dodged and the shooter was taken into custody and his car burned.

Damn, the penalty for breaking curfew seems…a bit harsh.

They may be officially trained (or not) in de-escalation, but what they clearly relish most is the opportunity afforded them by being cops to escalate and assert authority.
That guy spraying pepper spray on protestors as he drove by wasn’t de-escalating anything. He wasn’t in danger. He just wanted to pwn someone.

Yup. This is the reason many of them took the job in the first place, they’re not going to turn down the opportunity.
