Yeah, if he was out of his depth with a pandemic that he could turn the best and brightest minds in public and private sector virology and public health towards defeating, imagine how ill-equipped he is for this moment.
He’s directly responsible for it and only making it worse.
The US (and maybe other countries, who knows) seems to have a habit of hiring small-dicked insecure bullies as cops.
Relax guys, we’re transitioning to greatness.

I think the nature of the position attracts certain types. Like the priesthood.
Until that is acknowledged and addressed, nothing will change.
Waaaay back when I had to do training to be a restaurant manager, my training on the front of house (dining room) was pretty sparse. I’d been a trainer and shift lead as a waiter for so long that my boss just figured “Great. Chris is training, but in reality, he’s an extra manager on the floor.” Even though, you know…training.
And during that time we had a CRAZY shift for Mother’s Day. Totally overbooked. People angry. Utter chaos. I was hearing it left and right, from angry guests who were waiting too long to be seated and from frustrated servers who were also having to deal.
And at one point I just went into the employee bathroom, shut myself into a stall, and just sort of took deep breaths for about 5 minutes. In my head, I’m thinking “Maybe this will all go away when I come out, and it’ll be normal and fine” (typically, this was a restaurant that was so well run and had such good people that it almost ran itself.) And of course, the only way to get shit back on track was to have managers (like me!) get out in front of things and soothe people and calm nerves and get things back on track. Not having managers hiding in the bathroom, freaked out. Learning experience, for sure.
And when I see the response to the pandemic, and to the protests, peaceful and violent, I think about Donald Trump, sequestered in his White House. He’s me in that bathroom stall, thinking “This isn’t what I signed up for” and hoping it’ll just go away, without comprehending that the only way to steer things back on track is for him to behave like a president.
Yup.
He’s been pouring the gasoline for four years now.
Oh yeah, it has. Lemme tell you about the 60s, man.
(In particular, after the assassination of Martin Luther King.)
I kinda think some of these Democratic mayors and governors are…bad.
I mean, what the fuck are these cops doing?
None

It’s just one or two bad apples. In a barrel full of fucking shit apples.
Hey, I can post again.
We’re staying with family out in the burbs tonight. Fuck this whole shit. I’ll have more to say later no doubt.
I will say that 30 people showing up on a street corner this afternoon to talk about what we can do to keep our neighborhood safe was a moment.
Welcome back, Adam!
Fuck them, do they get something?
Glad to hear you got your family to a space spot. The methodical street cleaning you are seeing in the twin cities is certainly an escalation on the side of the police.
Also some very intense deployment of national guard to what looks like a quiet residential neighborhood.
They do not.
Also do not sleep on the race war fuckheads and small-dick opportunistic chucklefucks who are flooding our city looking for trouble. It’s absolutely real.
Glad to hear you’re safe @inactive_user
