Bubba’s not messing around:
No way I’d believe that we’d ever see a BLM NASCAR car if you told me a few years ago.
Edit: For context, here’s his boss’ thoughts on the Confederate flag from only a few years ago.

No political background reported yet, but sounds like a right wing militia type Trumper to me.
On June 3, St. Paul police officers were called to a home improvement store in St. Paul about an individual, later identified as Wolfe, wearing body armor and a law enforcement duty belt and carrying a baton was trying to get into the store. Store employees said WOLFE had been working as a security guard at the store but was fired earlier that day over social media posts about stealing items from the Third Precinct.
Police arrested Wolfe and say they found him wearing multiple items stolen from the Third Precinct, including body armor, a police-issue duty belt with handcuffs, an earphone piece, baton, and knife. Officers say Wolfe’s name was handwritten in duct tape on the back of the body armor. Law enforcement says it recovered items belonging to the Minneapolis Police Department, including a riot helmet, 9mm pistol magazine, police radio, and police issue overdose kit, from Wolfe’s apartment.

I haven’t seen anything suggesting this.

Wesley Morris writing about literally anything is always fantastic

That’s my assumption based on the fact that he was wearing body armor and a law enforcement belt when caught. I don’t know any left-wing protesters even Antifa types that wear body armor during protests. On the other hand, that seems pretty common in the militia groups.

All his gear was stolen from the PD by all accounts, though.
The fact that no one has really managed to use him politically, leads me to believe he isn’t political so much.

The fact that no one has really managed to use him politically leads me to believe that no political group wants to be tied to the burning of a police precinct.

I think it would be the opposite. If he was a trumpist the protestors would say “see, all this extreme stuff is from people just trying to tarnish our good name”, and if he was an ardent BLM activist or something you’d expect the GOP would post the image and say “coming to a city near you…” or whatever.

I mean… They were the things he stole from the cops.

The other side of whatever side he was on would. A lot. And non-stop for months or years.

Disagree. I don’t think either side wants to make political hay from this particular twisted individual.

They literally made the old man the Boston PD nearly killed into political hay.
You think people are going to ignore the dude who burned down a police station?
Edit: Especially when the two prominent narratives are:
Right: “Antifa is coming to kill us all, Antifa, Antifa!”
Left: “Right-wing/police false flags at demonstrations!”
Literally he feeds either narrative if you can find a side for him.

Stuff like that is reassuring.

Did I miss something in the link? He admitted to being at the building at the time of the fire, stealing police gear, and pushing a wooden barrel into a fire. He acknowledged he knew that by adding fuel to the fire he’d prolong it. I’m sure there’s criminal charges for those actions, but I don’t think we’re talking about the guy(s) who actually burned the building down.
Edit: here’s the relevant paragraph:
According to the criminal complaint, Wolfe admitted to police that he was inside the Third Precinct the night of the arson, took property from the building, and pushed a wooden barrel into the fire. Investigators say Wolfe also identified himself in multiple witness photographs capturing him in front of the Third Precinct holding a police baton, with smoke and flames visible in the background. Wolfe reportedly admitted to knowing that pushing the wooden barrel into the fire would keep the flames burning.
Sounds like arson just means he pushed a barrel into a fire knowing that’d make it worse.

The issue I have with this approach is… there are several people around her that would say our community is not racist. They’re not only wrong, most of the people who say that is white and about 30-40% of them are racists as hell too but… that’s still not a majority. Of course you don’t need a majority to maintain systematic racism. You just need that small group plus the people who keep not caring for whatever reason they come up with.
It’s still heartwarming that the signs are coming up in places you don’t expect to see it because it absolutely makes area of that you’d expect just darkness from to give a little ray of hope.
Everyone keeps telling me this time it’s different. I want to believe even if I am not sure I can.
Oh and there’s this.
and
Mitchum said many people she’s talked to use that to dismiss her concerns about racism and overlook broader issues of racial inequality because they don’t personally feel that way about people of color.
It’s a step in the right direction; let’s see Live PD go as well. I’d heard about it being pulled a few days ago since those two shows make up a large chunk of my parents’ day in front of the TV.

Basically a part 2:
Sadly Discourse doesn’t like Twitter Broadcasts so the video doesn’t automatically show.
Edit: The first one
I know this is black lives matter, not latino lives matter, but I’m gonna allow it. It’s another cop choking another suspect to death. This one in NM. Cop charged with manslaughter.
I’m starting to think maybe cops just get off on choking people.
