LOL, what a moral compass their management must have.

Everyone in the room when those execs agreed that announcing a company wide policy banning BLM clothing should be fired. There is no way Starbucks could get away with that.

More like they smell a lawsuit coming. I mean… if they’re going to have a policy like that, they have to enforce it equally. It kind of sounds like they made exceptions before for other groups.

Also those execs are idiots.

Yep, they already play fast and loose with their “no politics” policy.

Compounding the frustrations of employees — and also a growing number of customers learning about this policy — was the fact that Starbucks hands out pins and other attire to celebrate L.G.B.T.Q. rights and Pride month.

As a private corporation, can they really be sued for favoring any political position, or not, that they want?

It seems like this reversal is more die to the fear of losing business, rather than any fear of lawsuits.

They really need to enact a no policy policy.

Meanwhile in Tulsa the police prepare for the Trump rally.

At the end of the story, the reporter asks, “Why is it jaywalking if there are no sidewalks?” My 8yo in the other room immediately said, “That’s a good question” with her little sister agreeing. Now I think it was probably addressed to The Last Avatar cartoon that they’re watching but the timing was impeccable.

Fuck this cop and his shit buddy. Reason #5,387,271,301 that black folks don’t trust police.

This pleases me greatly. We are trying to learn.

Martin Gugino is the older fellow who was knocked to the sidewalk in Buffalo, NY a week ago.

In the time since, Trump has accused him of being affiliated with “antifa” (as if that’s a bad thing), but no. Gugino is an activist associated with some Catholic ministries and outreach in the city.

There have been social media posts being widely circulated that Gugino has been arrested hundreds of times and is a lifelong criminal.

Yeah, also not true.

And so if you’re wondering "How’s he doing, with his “contusion” and his concussion, as reported by the Mayor of Buffalo last week?

Yeah. Um.

Has a skull fracture. Cannot walk. That’s one hell of a “laceration” or whatever they’re trying to call it.

That’s amazing. Sharing it.

That’s cool. I just picked up the top one. i want to understand too.

I spent some time this evening in the CHAZ in Seattle with my camera. Totally peaceful and chill. Basically a block party.

Our company’s director of R&D was there all evening too, reported much of the same.

Here’s how Tucker Carlson and the Trump web see it:

That looks more like Belltown to me.

I was up there today, too. An industry contact was running a free ‘donuts and coffee’ stand there, and asked if I could help. I hadn’t heard about the general strike today until after I’d started my weekend prep and taken pre-orders, so I cut the amount I was selling in half and took the rest up to the CHAZ when I was done with the morning.

Yeah, for sure, absolutely nothing like the Fox segments are portraying it. I wandered around and looked at everything. Looked at the overall organization. There are people cleaning, and keeping it all in order. There was very little graffiti outside the already-boarded-up windows (and the sign on the abandoned police precinct).
