It’s not even that the cameras failed or weren’t on. They weren’t there at all.

MAGA is a hateful statement, not just a political one. The red hat is like the confederate flag or a nazi uniform to me at this point.

I think it’s because Texas was the last state in which slavery was still being practiced until that landing and proclamation. So it marked the actual end of chattel slavery in the United States.
