I googled James 5:1 and the top hit on google is this excuse:
“The condemnation here is not for wealth, itself, but for those whose wealth causes them to fall into the sins James will describe in upcoming verses.”
Let he who has wealth and did not fall into the sins James describes in upcoming verses cast the first stone.
Look, in two weeks we will be coming out with full details of the upcoming sins, and you won’t believe I have people telling me its like nothing anyone has ever seen, these sins you know how they fall when people are looking at the sinning and not just James. Believe me.
Who can we put political pressure on regarding these DHS deployments? Does calling my senator and rep help?

That’s what I’ve done, followed by daily emails and Tweets to their accounts. Also, a donation to the ACLU. This is probably the very least one can do, but it’s something.
Talked to my “All Lives Matter” brother-in-law and even he was outraged by the Portland news. He’s livid that unmarked federal forces are being used to snatch people up.
That is a good start.
Sometimes, it takes a while for people to realize what is going on. I know I want to hold it against people for not realizing things sooner, but having more people on the side of right is more important then being righteous.

Portland Fire & Rescue made an odd announcement at 7:25 on Sunday night: The bureau denied federal law enforcement officials had used its station houses—and said in future neither the feds nor the Portland Police Bureau would be welcome at its 31 stations strategically located throughout the city.
"To ensure that there is no confusion in regards to our role in providing safety to the residents of the city of Portland, Fire Commissioner Jo Ann Hardesty has directed that no PF&R station will be used by law enforcement of any kind, to include Portland police, for any tactical operations until further notice.
The fire chief in Seattle was a great help to the folks at CHOP, too. Strange times we live in when we have to point out the public servants in charge of our protection and safety actually taking that seriously and doing their job, and not just, you know, attacking us.

The number of fire fighters who are in that line of work to not help their neighbors approaches zero.
They don’t get special rights and carte blanche to beat people. At best they occasionally get to fuck up some complete asshole’s car for blocking a hydrant.

Lets just say that… multiple messages have been sent by me to all my elected officials regarding that specific topic.
I actually just got off the phone (voice mail) with one of their offices to formally state I support their efforts on that bill.

Add requiring Federal law enforcement officers to display identification at all times to the list of legislation Dems need to pass on day 1 of the Biden administration.
I also don’t know how they’re “arresting” and detaining people without reading them their Miranda rights. Have we heard from any of these people who have been released or talked to a lawyer?

The people we’ve heard from said they were detained, never charged, asked questions, and, when they asked for a lawyer, immediately released.
