Until then, feel free to experiment with different teams through the Qt3 Open League (just find it in the league finder) and join the steam group. The chat for that group is the easiest way to pick up a game other than prearranging with a friend.

The funny thing is, I’m just trying to catch up on where the Qt3 league sign-ups are. I’ve been part of the steam group for two years already! I just now got around to getting the LE. It sounds like you guys have actually been able to finish a league season or two, which is infinitely better results than back when the first version of BB came out and no one could finish a tournament before too many people disappeared.

The Blood Bowl community at Qt3 is booming right now. We’ve had 3 parallel leagues completing with 16 teams (US), 12 teams (Euro) and 6 teams (Euro); and have just now started up the second season of the Euro league with 22 coaches (how that will work out is anyone’s guess). With the Open League also serving several games every day, there truly has not been a better time for playing (or trying) BB than now.

The solution is either to run the game in windowed mode or turn off Aero windows while running full screen. No biggie, but an annoying bug, nonetheless.
I don’t play in windowed mode and I see the opening vid and replays just fine. Oh, and though I’ve never heard of it and had to look it up, I have Windows Aero on too.

Every time I go up against the Ogres, they kill one of my Star Players. So frustrating. I’ve got no trouble winning games against the Ogres, but I fear their brutal methods.

Sorry I meant my “best players” not the temporary Stars. And yeah its single player so its not team threatening setback, but still I feel like I have some kind of Ogre curse. Str 5+Mighty Blow is nasty.

Critique my first 3 level ups on my Nurgle team.
Pestigor #1 - Roll double 5’s. Take dodge (really considered MA but movement hasn’t been my issue so far).
Rotter - Rolled 11, take the +AG - don’t really know why except an extra agility just seemed too good to pass up for a regular skill. Should I have just taken block?
Pestigor #2 - Double 5’s again! And dodge again.
I mainly have been using everyone as blockers except the pestigors. They are my ball carriers / hole pluggers when the line needs some help. So far I’m beating the easy AI pretty handily but I guess that’s to be expected.

Dodge is a great skill for Pestigors as they are both the mobile hitters on the team and the main scoring threat. Ideally I’d hope to get it as a second skill, after block, but long term it’s all good.
An AG4 rotter can be useful but their low MA and lack of skills means they are pretty poor ball carriers. There’s also that pesky decay skill, meaning he’s unlikely to develop without accumulating crippling injuries. Still, make the most of him while you have him. I’d try to use him to pick up the ball if possible, that makes it a 2+ roll instead of a 3+ roll and helps cut down on turnovers. Then you can cage up on him and have him hand it to a Pestigor when the opportunity is right.

Oh, OK, I get it now. I don’t know if it helps you any but in my last multiplayer game with my Ogre team I inflicted no injuries whereas my team sustained three. It’s just blind luck when it comes to the injury rolls, sometimes the dice go your way and sometimes Nuffle is Nuffle.
Ogres: not always so scary. He took an 11th cas but apo’d it too. And for once played through to the end without conceding!
Dodge is good. I might have given one of the Pestigors Sidestep instead, if I was in a private league with teams with lots of Tackle and or Frenzy.
Agility on a Rotter I think isn’t particularly worth it due to their low speed and decay, but it is funny, and might catch someone offguard. I’d most likely have taken Block instead, or maybe Kick if you don’t have it.
Hmmm, on second thought, Nurgle is a pretty plodding team, so perhaps the AG 4 isn’t bad. Your cage is going to be slower than you regardless, more reliable pickups is definitely useful, and you’re going to want several people in the backfield anyway. Helps give you somewhat of a Passing option too. Perhaps use him in the center backfield to recover the ball, flanked by your 2 Dodge Pestigors?
dodge isn’t bad in any way, but I think i’d have taken +MA on both pestigors

So before I read your replies, I got a second rotter to roll 11 and now I have 2 4AG rotters. :)
I realize block should be the first think I take for a lineman but when I get those special rolls it’s so hard to pass it up.
Hey, I’m creaming the AI anyway, might as well have some fun. Just have to remember to not make the same mistakes in an online team.
I thought I was going to lose the cup this morning as the vampires are a scary team. They can hit hard and score fast but I beat them into submission and by the end of the game they only had 2 players left on the field. About 1/2 of their vamps failed blood lust and fouled out.
I could have used the extra MA on a pestigor in the game before the vamps too, I could have scored before the half but was 1 square away.
