I liked Ready Player One, it was a fun, breezy read. The central idea is that a geek gets to save the world using all that inane, useless knowledge they store up about who directed this movie or coded that game, and which line of movie dialogue is quoted how. It’s geek wish fulfilment. (Not that there’s anything wrong with that.) :o

I’m on the flip side and rather disliked it. The premise is good, the execution is not.
