Well, he’s never gonna be president now.

(One less thing to worry about)

Unless, of course, he just grabbed her by the pussy. Or something.

He could still become president if he gets a sweet gig as a ‘lovable’ host of some shitty reality tv show.

And then Jimmy Fallon musses his hair.

Like.

HAVE YOU READ THIS!?

Serious question: isn’t the threat of blackmail essentially also just blackmail?

Yep, but we don’t know that there was a threat made. They may just have been worried about her when stories started to appear on the internet. (The Smoking Gun ran a story on this encounter back in October, 2016 and may have precipitated the payout for silence.)

But he said that he had pictures of her, if she ever talked about him. That’s a threat of blackmail.

Unless you’re suggesting that we don’t know for a fact that occurred.

Blackmail is the threat, not the disclosure of the blackmail material.

But what happens if you threaten to threaten blackmail?

It’s blackmail all the way down.

Sorry, I thought we were talking about Trump’s porn star.

If Greitens threatened blackmail…that is indeed blackmail.

Wasn’t sure where to put this, but it’s an interesting story.

So in Chicago today, a group called the Community Renewal Society held an MLK Day event. It’s apparently a big to-do for folks looking to work on many of the issues – especially violence – that have plagued Chicago in recent years. And at this event 6 candidates for governor of the state showed up for a public forum. Jeanne Ives was the only Republican. Democratic challengers included the two front-runners, gajillionaire JB Pritzker and RFK’s son, Christopher.

Jeanne Ives was asked by a forum attendee why gun control wasn’t a legitimate means to try to stop some of the violence. And I’ll let this tweet take it from there.

holy shit lol

Boom goes the dynamite.

+1 homicide in Chicago this year. Holy crap. I hope this was filmed.

I wasn’t sure whom I was voting for, and I’m still not. But damn if that won’t make me look at him more seriously.

So far Pritzker seems to be the most serious challenger to Rauner, based purely on campaign spending.
