This is still the pee tape theory right but… I still don’t care. I mean I generally give people their kinks as long as it’s legal… of all the things Trump might have done… and even if it was someone else, it’s just seems stupid that in this date and age, being peed on is going to bring down a clearly racist, sexist, megalomaniac who clearly pushes policies to enrich himself and plays chicken with hostile countries?
Unless there is a body… or a minor, I just don’t know why it would matter. It’s not like he ran on what a clean cut gentleman he is.
The contents of the tape are not relevant. What matters is that the tape gives Russia some form of power over the most powerful man in the world, a man who is sworn to protect the Constitution and act in the best interests of the American people.
People of diverse ethnicity, skin color or even religion do not make me as angry and stressed out as Trumpets. OTOH I don’t spend any time on Twitter or Facebook anymore.
To clarify. People of other ethnicities, color or religion don’t stress me out or anger me.
No, not really. I’ll unfriend people who are annoying, and stay stupid stuff, but not simply because of their politics.
The biggest Trump support on my Facebook feed came here as a teen after the Vietnam war. He is an MIT-trained engineer, and he is every bit as smart as you’d expect from somebody that went to MIT. I meet him in one of my first jobs out college, and while he is arrogant he wasn’t an asshole. He didn’t suddenly become stupid just because he voted for Trump and while I find most of his support for Trump to be baffling and he conveniently leaves out facts that hurt his argument, he generally makes logic arguments. Sometimes reading his argument makes me question if I’m really rejecting Trump actions simple as knee-jerk reaction because I hate the guy vs for sound reasons.
William Shockley, Nobel Laurette for inventing the transistor, is somebody I can easily imagine following on twitter, in a different timeline. He had by most accounts a good wit, and probably would have done well on twitter.
He also believed that high-birth rates by inferior races was causing a decline in the human intelligence, and supported various ideas to keep blacks from having babies. I’d say that’s the definition of an odious belief.
But his odious views on race, didn’t impact his scientific brilliance. Perhaps just important, the benefits of following someone on a social media, is you get unfiltered access to their views and aren’t dependent on someone else to interpret them for you.
There is something seriously messed up with society that this man could do all that he has done, said all he has said and the one thing that might actually take him down is a picture of a naked body with some legal aged women. That’s messed up, and it’s not Russia’s fault.
Or put another way, if Russia has that kind of power, that’s our fault. We need to stop seeing tits, ass and a penis as some sort of oh no moment.
Trump with a pornstar might have derailed Trump the candidate. Trump the President? Sure he had sex with a pornstar. And it was the best she ever had. He didn’t even had to pay for it. And all his male voters will say they would do the same if they could. And the female voters says that’s just what guys do and really, Trump has needs, stop being so judgemental. I doubt even his wife will have a problem with it, really.
Also, the Republican party has gone with the “substitute beliefs for facts” for much longer than the climate change discussion. At least from what I’ve seen, how long have supply side economics been the answer to any and all questions?
It’s the “leaving out facts that hurt his argument” part that makes it bullshit.
Virtually any position can seem logical, if you leave out the facts that proves it wrong. That’s how logic works.
