I heard from a really reputable source that Hillary Clinton might be an Orc

Aside from not knowing who he is referring to (I will google it), I have no idea what he means by someone is polling 2nd on the GOP ticket. He may have polled second before the primary, but there is no such thing in California anymore as a “GOP ticket”, especially prior to the primary. Could a Nazi have run for Senate in California in our open primary system under the GOP banner, sure. But so did a lot of other nuts under both party banners.
Here’s the original, in case anyone was curious. It’s from Brazilian cartoonist Carlos Latuff.

Sorry, that mystery racist guy that’s been doing this for like 40 years now is still doing it.

Worse, he’s a Libertarian, who defines himself by that and nothing else.
Well… nothing other than that and the racism.
That is fantastic! Can’t believe I’ve never seen that as a modest Slim fan going back to the Housemartins and Rollcage.
It’s pretty hilarious that someone photoshopped Ben Garrison’s signature onto that cartoon. So many different levels of fuckery and idiocy on display here.

The symbology is way too subtle for Ben Garrison.
A Garrison cartoon would have a label saying “America” on Uncle Sam, and “minorities” on the guys punching him.
Ah that explains why cavalry units have double the partisan suppression value in Hearts of Iron IV.

Ben Garrison ran from it pretty quick. He probably considered it too subtle.
Dinesh gets schooled, literally, on how the GOP became the preferred party of racists back in the 60s and 70s. (Never publicly demand facts when a historian is listening, or this will happen!)
… lengthy fact-filled thread follows, illustrating both how Dixiecrats transformed into Republicans and how terrible Twitter is for any sort of long-form writing.

This article is pretty breathtaking:
It’s not even referenced but many conservatives were furious that Obama expanded national monuments without congressional approval.
Right or not, that Atlantic article takes their expansion as a fait accompli and just; this is not, to put it mildly, how conservatives see things. But the article frames Trump shrinking what Obama accomplished as a “transformation”.
I found that article a bit rambling tbh, it wandered off into the coal fields and got lost.

And they complained when Teddy Roosevelt designated Devil’s Tower, Petrified Forest and the Grand Canyon national monuments without Congressional approval too. And when Franklin Roosevelt proclaimed Jackson Hole. And when Carter expanded Katami. And when Clinton created Grand Staircase.
No challenge to the President’s authority to protect federal lands through the Antiquities Act has ever succeeded. It’s been a well-established precedent for nearly 100 years. And some of our most iconic and precious national parks were originally designated monuments through the Antiquities Act. Bundy and his ilk are traitors who should be locked up in federal pens forever. Conservatives who whine about the protection of federal lands are exactly like people who throw trash out of their car windows and take shits in your local reservoir.
