The term “resistors” and “resistance” started among Progressives who decided the best course of action was to resist the Trump agenda in any way possible. Various right wing sources have, of course, pointed resistance as being a bad thing.
It’s somewhat related to women knitting hats with the electrical resistor symbol although the focus there started as being about science and science policy. I’ve also seen resistors (the real physical electric component) being used as the slider in a zipper.

Well, they already camp out in front the houses of people they don’t like (say, abortion providers), call 911 on those people (with the attendant threat of death at the hands of police), and send rape and/or death threats. I feel if they tone it down to tossing left-overs out the door, we’ll be making progress.

The ship sailed on this long ago - except they attack regular people who say the wrong thing on Twitter, whereas these folks are attacking the actual evil fucks who empower this horrid ideology. And they will cry foul about how both sides do it regardless of the truth. So yeah, no more calm public appearances for people who have betrayed the public trust.
Their actions say, “We have a bare majority in the representative government, which technically means we don’t have to give a fuck about what the majority of the populace thinks, only the minority who voted for us; in particular the tiny few who funded us.”
Lets disabuse them of the notion that their only responsibility is to power and the barest minimum of votes required to maintain it. If they run the whole government, they represent the whole country. If the only way to enforce that is physically, well there’s no reason the balance of forces should favor the brownshirts.

We can win this next election and they’ll seat those congressmen but then they’re going to deny that they have any power. They’ll only recognize the authority and laws of their choosing. Same for whatever Mueller finds. They’re above the law now because none of it matters to them. They’ll make their own rules
