And we’ve gotten some really suspect polling in Alabama in the last few weeks. A Roy Moore +8 poll that had 55% of respondents over the age of 65…and the pollster didn’t weight against it. And there was another Roy Moore +10 poll that weighted African Americans as 17% of the total vote in Alabama.
That’s just terrible methodology, and why you like your pollsters to be forthcoming. So like with Emerson College’s poll today, they’ve got it Moore +10, but they’re super transparent about their methodology, and you see that it’s all IVR, all landlines, and then they bake their own special sauce into it and get Moore +10. Maybe they’re right, too. We’ll know tomorrow.
When supposedly religious conservatives were able to look past Trump’s bullying, his clear lack of religious conviction, his appearance in pornos, his lying, his provocations to violence, his adultery, his three marriages and his professed — taped — propensity for sexual assault, they became blind to bawdiness. Now, unmoored from any fundamental morality, Republicans have a situation where a professed horndog is boosting an accused pied piper.
Republicans have surrendered the moral high ground they thought they held, and have dived face-first into the sewer.
The Trump agenda is the Republican agenda: hostility to women and minorities, white supremacy and white nationalism, xenophobia, protectionist trade policies, tax policies that punish the poor and working class and people living in blue states.

Today’s contender in the “worst male in the world” contest is Kentucky State Rep. Dan Johnson, who has been accused of sexually assaulting a 17-year-old girl at a New Year’s Eve party while he was acting as her preacher.
This incident is said to have occurred in 2012, with alleged victim Maranda Richmond detailing her story to Louisville Public Media, which has been transcribed by Raw Story.
“He started to stroke her arm. He slid his hands up, under her shirt and bra, and groped her. He stuck his tongue in her mouth. Then, he forced his hands down her pants, underneath her underwear, and penetrated her with his finger,” the statement read. “She begged her pastor to stop and tried to force him off, quietly. She remembers not wanting to awaken Sarah. But Johnson was a big man, roughly twice her weight.”
