Think having thrones of equal strength is good. Happy with any era though EA has the new Therodos nation. I know nothing about them though myself. Map needs to support at least two UW nations.

How about a set of Level 2 Thrones? Bit harder to take, and more slightly more impact on the game. If I recall correctly, most of them give you a StR mage, some gems, and a dominion shift.

Ok, lets give this a few days for folks to consider nations. I also want to allow time for more players to consider joining, and apparently from what TurinTur wrote Theredos is a complicated nation.

Proposed Map: Orania (it will be a lot of prov per player with only seven…)
Proposed Thrones: One per player, level 2, need 50% to win.

With the map, I guess the question is how many underwater nations will there be. I half expect psyanojim is keen to play UW?

I don’t envy you picking a map, but I do think Orania might be too big. It could be made to work if perhaps resources/income were adjusted.

I picked Orania because I know it has a lot of ocean, thus encouraging the UW races, and because I hope we have enough players to make it work. We can always change it up later.

Alright, lets get the party started. How about, since we have 8 players, the map of Urraparand? Ostensibly its for 10 players, but it has 35 sea provinces, which should encourage some UW action.

I do like DireAussie’s maps because the tilesets are easy to spot without having to click on the province. It also doesn’t have a big area of wasteland. But happy with any map really. Just want to play a game and hopefully perform better than I have compared to the last 2 games I’ve been in (Hangman and TheHill).
