If you do want to have another go at playing Berytos, I can swap with you, if Akaoni permits it. It does mean changing names around, and I don’t know if there is enough coffee in Akaoni’s life to handle that. Also, I know what it is like to want to play a particular nation again, and my own interest came after I subbed (for you) if I recall.

I have played a bit with DireAussie’s map, and am inclined to use it. So please, if you have not already done so, please download it from the link in the last page that some kind soul put up.

I will stand up the server instance on Llama this weekend, unless there are any protests. Give it till mid week or later to get all the pretenders in, and then we start. Figure I will put it on quick host, but have a 48hr timer, unless there are any objections.

After adminning myself in QTAnon, and playing in QTtheHill, I prefer the 48 + a bit timer now tbh (think its 52 or 54 for QTtheHill)

Nice to have a bit of ‘padding’ in there otherwise the quickhosted time gets earlier each turn, and its harder for people on rigid schedules (including the admin when looking out for extension requests etc)

I remember from one of my Dominions 3 games that Calahan would do that, for that very reasoning as far as the host timing would go so that individuals on a rigid schedule could more easily plan out and get turns in. It should be a 54 hour schedule, I typically add 6 or 8 hours to the turn timer.

Kind soul? Me? Rubbish. You need more coffee, or you need to sit down and actually drink some Bundy Rum. You wouldn’t be calling me a kind soul after you wake up the next day. Also, do we have a link for the worthy heroes mod? I’ve been looking around and can see all sorts of different versions, including one for the latest 4.20 update of Dominions 4. There is what I believe is the last version from Burnsabre on llamaserver, a hotfix that takes it to 1.23 (incorporating the 1.22 hotfix also) and then there is WorthyHeroesO 5.4 which is a new fork of the mod that seems to play nicely with the latest updates to Dom 4, notably the fact that the new heroes introduced in 4.20 won’t be overwritten, though comes with a couple of bugs as well it seems. I have no idea…

Ok, have not heard from Wolfman. Sharaleo, are you sure he wants to play?

And since the latest version of the worthy heroes mod is bugged, we will just play without it altogether.

Bundaberg rum is sold in a can with coke in some parts of Oz, at least from what I can vaguely remember during my trip there.

Anyways, the game is up and ready for pretenders. Nine players (no wolfman), level 2 thrones, renaming on, graphs off, hopefully I got everything else.

I have to agree. And I live in the town where they make it (the rum that is, not the premix rum and coke which is in Sydney somewhere or other). In saying that, the liqueur is actually pretty good.

Also, I do like the new hero that Berytos got with the latest update, the Queen of the City. She looks so good. Getting her early on would be nice.
