Can still see Oceanias statue tucked up safely as an indy in that fort with all the casters. Niefs global at least got dispelled, but the Pretender is still alive as an indy too!
So much for that cunning plan! Funny seeing indie forts full of Niefel thugs and casters!
Think I’ll just stick to stomping anything that moves in future!

Shame TNN couldnt enjoy them, he’s only been able to meet a few of my smaller thugs so far.

I’ve given up on ethereal xbows. Thats the second time I’ve shot one of my own thugs in the back with them!
My mistake - I went through all my math (communion master, base astral 4, 16+ astral gems, Power of the spheres and 16 communion slaves), and then went slow-mo on the replay, and the Master Enslave did fire.
It just wasn’t as effective as I’d hoped (needed). Nice MR there (it’s too bad that level 3 on the replay doesn’t show magic rolls, I would have liked to see them - or at least find out how many fishmen turned - they all died pretty quick, but it was tough to tell how many I got to flip sides) - I wonder if it would have worked better with the penetration item, though I probably didn’t have enough slots to equip it anyways… ah well, at least I got to cast it in a competitive MP game - I’ve always wanted to do that… but it would have been more fun had it worked like I thought it would.
Ah well, I’m cooked. I’ll still put up some good fights (and looking forward to them), but that was the big gun I was counting on to get me an army under the sea that could really threaten Pelagia. Good Game, Psyanojim!
PS - the Vengeful Water spell surprised me too - was wondering how all those Ice Elementals got through my Dome of Air with it still standing… and it’s nasty in how it takes out scouts…
Pelagia is almost unstoppable underwater. I don’t think I’ve lost a major underwater fight all game. I almost felt sorry for Oceania and Rlyeh trying to stand against the Pelagia juggernaut.
That fight didn’t even have my good support casters there, they were all mage-thugging vs Sauro. Just a few researchers that were in the fort when you sieged it, one thug I teleported in with some extra troops, and an Ivy Lord who happened to be next door.
Shark Tribe Tritons are ridiculous, and those sacreds with their magic weapons are very under-rated, awesome vs ethereal, mistform etc.
There was a point where Nief (I think) was chain-spamming horrors at me, those magic weapon sacreds just laughed at them. And its nice having them around to pop mistform so the crazy Shark Tribe dudes can do their job.
And yeah Vengeful Water, been waiting for ages to cast that :)
Hey, the Master Enslave was a good idea though, you killed more of my underwater troops than anyone else I think :)
How many gems did you burn on dispels last turn anyways?
