For naming (and not just pretenders - renaming is on), just try not to make it too obvious, especially if you have a reputation for a certain naming style of your units or your Pretender.

tbh, its going to be hard for me to enforce anything, since I’m not playing I won’t be able to see any of the names myself!

Thinking about it a bit more, I might turn renaming off before we start

Don’t do that, I hate the fact the game gives you several guys named the same.

I think we can trust the players not to use anything too annoying.

Haha, its not being ‘annoying’ that is the problem… its the ability to identify players by the naming conventions they like to use.

Haha, love the link. In that spirit, all we have to do to avoid revealing identities…is to encourage people to adopt other people’s naming conventions, thus mystifying everyone. It’s nothing a few dozen hours browsing the forums shouldn’t reveal. ;)
