Ya really - there’s some awfully terrifying forces out there…

It might be a futile hope, but I wish everyone was keeping an AAR turn by turn. Just what they see, what they think is happening, and what they are planning. Like a line or two each turn.

Looking at all of them after the game would be awesome, and I think would include quite a few ‘oh crap!’ moments.

Yeah, it is hard to keep up with that, but I am through turn 7 on my blog write up of the game. I need to accelerate my entries to catch up as I am falling behind! I may have to shorten them up some to catch up.

I already know my oh crap moment. Grrr

I do wonder and think no diplomacy is the best diplomacy as it then opens up some sort of metagame diplomacy. Let thy actions speak louder than words.

Since I’ve not played Late Age before I’m trying to figure out what is actually a big army…lol.

The couple I can see, I would rate as big.

Of course I can see my own…

I’m most interested in watching how this plays out - it’s quite fun. Is that a feint? Is that an invitation to do something? Will my action be misconstrued? ;)

I’ve started an AAR writeup thanks to Akaoni’s suggestion. It doesn’t take too long to log a few comments every turn…and is helping me sort out all the confusing stuff going on.

More than one time I have been writing a blog entry on a turn and talking my self through and typing what I am doing and what I am planning and then realize I am not doing any of them and wondering what the heck I was doing the first time, heh. I really need to catch up so I can fix some blunders I am making sooner!

Personally, i wouldn’t rate Akaoni’s as big yet, though his territory is formidable…

Pyrhic, what ever do you mean? My army of massed Agarthan crossbows backed up by tons of drake riders number in the hundreds!

FYI: no one is playing Agartha…

… and on that note, we’re at turn 31, I’ve had to extend most of the last few turns, and I’ve had one player suggest that its time to go to a 72 hour hosting cycle.

Any thoughts/objections?

haha a submission 3 minutes before the old deadline, no pressure :)

My question on extending to 72 hours still stands

While I am still having no problem getting my turns done in time right now, I have no problem with it going to 72 hours to allow for more thought and research (and blog updating). I slowed down a bit on my AAR entries at the start, but am probably averaging close to 1000 words and 20 pictures an entry and up to turn 23 as of yesterday with the game currently on turn 32 so I am gaining a little momentum and catching up :). I hope it is still interesting to read through after the game is done, though.

Always interesting to read.

I’ve had no problems myself but I wouldn’t mind seeing it go to 72hrs myself now. I typically have my turns done (not necessarily submitted) within the first 24hrs, but a bit of extra time to think and ponder never goes astray with me now, and where the game is at.

Ditto on not having problems, but i think it’s about the right time to go to 72hrs.

As the number of free territories dwindles, it’s always interesting to see where nations find new lebensraum. I tell you, compared to my last games, I am practically flush with scouts…it’s such a happy feeling pulling the map back and seeing just about everything.
