I generally can do my turn in about five minutes…I guess that’s not a good thing.

Its because my many armies are so vast, I have no worries and just randomly send them wherever, of course.

going to 72 is fine by me, though 48 does keep a man on his toes

well, since no one’s indicated much problem now…maybe we should keep it at 48 for a few more turns then? I really do like the pace of the game as it is now…

I’m starting to struggle during midweek. Maybe push it to 52 hours at least. That allows some wriggle room on the 2 day cycle (currently it is on 9pm my time, the extra 4 hours would make it a lot easier).

btw, i’m very much with you kelan on wanting to talk…there’s a few things I really want to say, mostly about Akaoni’s forces, but I’ll hold off for fear of tipping the balance…

And I have the opposite problem, hard to find the time on weekends.

Ok, as a compromise, I’ll extend to 60 hours (2 1/2 days) and see how that works out. Most of the extensions have been for 12 hours anyway.

Im ok with that, but really, i’ll defer to lloyd if he wants 72.

Also quite impressive by all folks in the game as there have been zero total stales in the game so far through 31 turns. Not bad!

Since everyone would like to talk about ANON but can’t, maybe we can have a bit of fun with it? We could post our hypotheses on who we think is playing each nation and why. Deceptions encouraged! Would that be too revealing? I’d love to see the results but afraid that the hive mind will be pretty exact with their matches!

P.S. it would be in-game reasonings only i.e. not “I obsessively hit refresh on the llamaserver ANON page and align nations submitting their turns with their timezone” ;)

My instincts are that the game is paced quite well, since the lack of diplomacy speeds turns up a lot, and we’ve had zero stales so far.

As DireAussie says, its mostly just a bit of extra ‘wriggle room’ thats required, since 48 hour hosting actually means more like 45-48 for most turns, so the clock moves forward by 0-3 hours per turn which can be annoying for players on a fixed daily schedule.

So I think 60 hours is a good middle ground for now, I’m still happy to extend single turns as required. If we find that most turns are still needing extensions, we can have another look at the times.

HA! See, I knew I wasn’t the only one matching time zones to players, which is why I submit my turns at 1 am in the morning!

I’m a shift worker so I submit my turns whenever I’m awake enough to do so :-)

Option A) Players choose their own nation starting in a random order
Option B) players submit nations that are pooled and distributed randomly
Option C) Players choose nations for another person (subject to one veto)

If you’re a lurker, or new to MP dominions, this might be a good place to start - the open forum diplomacy will give you a sense of the backroom shenanigans that will happen when you played a more regular game. Theoretically speaking, the community should do a good job of policing the outright ruthless and evil people…like me.

I am really flexible on Age and nations although being able to choose a nation may be nice for a change and especially if we can get some new folks to play.

You can count on me to play unless we have plenty and a new person would like to have my spot instead.
