So what i’ve gathered is that people don’t want to actually win this game, they just want to keep me from winning it…

I am just slow and trying to catch up to you superpowers! Honestly, I believe my best strategy to win was to prolong the game so that my research could catch up and have a chance to battle on more even playfields, but I can understand why it seems like people are ganging up on you. I haven’t really picked a side yet and have only really fought Machaka for the past many years although you making a push on my 3 point throne I sort of feel obligated to defend with all I got :).

We seemed to be near the end a few turns back, but sometimes it seems like we are as far from a winner as we have ever been. Maybe it is my turn now! :)

I didn’t see the turn yet, but I haven’t secured the throne yet so it still seems to be in doubt to me.

I dont think I’ve attacked you after the threat of your throne run ended. Instead I’ve been harassing Pangaea. Was hoping that other powers would join in but it seems that is not the case. Pangaea’s been free to take most of my forts and all my thrones without opposition. Maybe by stopping your throne run we made Pan too powerful, but it is even more the case now.

Good luck with your latest try :) Hope you can pull it off, I wont be stopping you this time.

Thank you.

Boy, that’s a classic dominions quote.

It reminds me of the classic quote

“It is not enough merely to win; others must lose.”
-Gore Vidal.

You obviously never played Dominions 2 :) You can’t wish for a win any more.

Actually, my post was mostly jest - of course players would try to stop me from winning, that’s what they should be doing :)

Happy Valentine’s Day! Here’s a heart for you, and you, and another one for you…

Let’s see if I know how this works…

Ok, god sent, it seems to have worked (I should say Pretender instead of god, but come on, let’s be honest, soon enough he will be the God… :P )

But I was telling a friend about what a fine upstanding gentleman pyrhic is! Such a paragon of manhood!

Thanks for the hard work on the map, DireAussie, it looks great.
And thank you pyrhic for setting it up.

Can someone pretty please link the latest and correctest version of the map?

This one I suppose. He mentioned doing a modification but using the same link with the new version

We all know the first pretender in always wins, right? right? ;)

Snoozers

Contrary to what some people believe, Pan is earnestly trying to win the game. However, as I have mentioned before, with only a single H3 priest and a big tree as a pretender, there is no way I will be able to win by taking the thrones. Unless, four or more turns from now, I can claim the few other thrones I have parked huge armies on.

Instead, I will play cat and mouse with a lot of Fomorian thugs, hide numerous armies in Arco territory, build up more troops for another Ermor push, try to out dominion a crap-ton of Machakan troops sitting in Agartha, cheer Yomi on ( hope you can use that 4000 gold I had lying around, I don’t need it -income of 20000+) and contemplate scraping together water gems for a push in to the water, or more likely start summoning the Ice Devils.

I have to admit I am conflicted - on one hand I hope that pyrhic can pull off a scripting coup and win the throne (and thereby the game) - it would be cool to see that. But I think that Kelan, having to fight his incredibly bad build (who really builds a dominion with Misfortune 3 by choice, if not playing a death race? ) that he got when he took over Yomi, has the means and the impressive army to squash the Gorgon’s army.

we’ll see, i may have a trick or two yet…

…however, admittedly, i am running low on them…

Maybe I’m giving something away, but surely you have the gem income to empower your tree in astral or air and teleport / cloud trapeze it around?
