Yep same. Ran repair one time and it cleaned it up.
Why would anyone do this?

To migrate your character from the PC version to the console version? Am I misreading?
The game will not be cross platform with PC / console.

Yes, to migrate. I have a friend who might be interested, for some reason he has no interest in playing ESO on the PC (he already owns it), but he’s anxiously awaiting the PS4 release. I can’t say I understand the thinking, but this might save him $40.
It’s a copy, not a migration, AFAIK. It gives you a cheap copy of the game, a headstart on console and you still get to keep your PC character. Sounds pretty good to me. Especially if the control scheme is good. This game would shine on a big screen and would work well with a gamepad I think.

I think it’s pretty shitty that it’s so time limited, but mostly I just have no desire whatsoever to play any MMO on a console, so I guess I don’t really care.

I don’t have a current gen console so I’m only inferring from the note above but it seems to me that it is a migration.
It says copied, not moved, transferred or migrated. It’s what I have read. But I haven’t personally seen an official answer on it. So you could still be right.

Because it beats purchasing the game for full price on the PS4? I did take advantage of this, because I want my characters and hard work on the PS4, and because I really enjoy the game immensely.

It’s a copy:
If you purchase the transfer, you will still be able to play your characters on the PC separately; this is strictly a copy of the characters, so all your future progression will be separate on each platform
I’m sticking with PC for the same reason I play all the TES games on PC, addons.

What addons are you using? I checked out Curse.com and didn’t find anything I needed in any way. I really enjoy the sparse UI and don’t see what I would need. I also enjoy the exploration so the skyshards and lore book maps hold no interest for me.
Personally, I use only 3:
- the shards one
- the one which allows me to see all the traits I’ve researched for crafting on a pop-up screen.
- the one which auto marks trash loot as junk.
None of them add to the general UI as I also love the uncluttered view of the world.

I’m using these addons (Bank Manager and Dustman being two of my favorites):
Advanced Filters - adds clickable icons on the inventory screen so you can easily sort by types/professions/etc
AI Research Grid - quickly shows the researched traits and the remaining time on research
Bank Manager Revived - automatically deposits or withdraws items to bank based on the filters to set up. I couldn’t live without it, it saves so much time.
Combat Cloud - scrolling combat text mod, lots of options, easy to set up, doesn’t spam your screen as much FTC’s scrolling combat text module
Crit Percent - changes crit rating values into percentages
Destinations - shows points of interest on the map, questgivers, vampire spawns, achievement locations, etc. I don’t use this one, I just briefly turn it on before I move to a new zone to make sure I haven’t missed any quests or locations.
Dustman - another absolutely must have addon. It marks items as junk and sells them to vendor (confirmation required) when you visit a store. Just like Bank Manager it’s an incredible time saver. These two mods singlehandedly improved my enjoyment of the game tenfold, I shit you not.
FCOItemSaver - mark items for special purposes. This in turn locks them, preventing you from selling or deconstructing them by accident. Lots of filters, easy to set up.
FoundryTacticalCombat - I’m only using this for the unit frames
Healers Group Frame - changes default party frame and adds colors to names, if they have a HoT running on them or a shield. I haven’t healed much yet but from the limited grouping I’ve done it proved to be pretty nice.
LoreBooks - must have if you want to level up Mage Guild in a reasonable amount of time. It marks all the lorebook locations on your map.
LostTreasure - adds map markers to the treasure chests if you have the maps in your inventory
Mer Character Sheet - adds research times to the character sheet. Quality of life mod, not really needed since AI Research Grid also fills this role.
Mitigation Percent - same as Crit Percent, but for mitigation (armor ratings, spell resist ratings)
NoThankYou - this one has a lot of options, mostly blocking various messages. I’m only using it to hide the friends online icon once the chat fades and to remove the confirmation dialogue when deleting empty messages.
pChat - transforms the default chat into a nicer looking version, adds timestamps, etc.
Public Dungeon Champions - marks the location of bosses in group delves. Very useful since those bosses are often easy to miss becasue of relatively long spawn times and high traffic in those areas.
Research Assistant - marks the items in your inventory that have a trait that you can research. Also has support for duplicate items, intricate and ornate items. Synergises well with Dustman and FCO Item Saver.
SkyShards - marks all the skyshards on your map
SlowDialogs - stopped using this one, it slowly fades the text to the screen as the npc talks. Great for immersion, the problem for me was that voice actors speak with varying speed so it was never really in sync with the spoken lines.
SousChef - tracks your recipes, shows which food can be created with the ingredients you pick up.
Spent Skill Points - shows you a breakdown of all the skill points you’ve spent
Srendarr - tracks buffs and debuffs, very useful addon
Wykkyds Outfitter - make equipment templates and switch easily with this addon. Great if you’re turning in quests with alternate set of equipment to level them.
I’m using Minion to keep all the mods up to date. It’s basically ESO’s version of NMM.
I guess I don’t understand why someone would want to play this on a console if they already have the game available and playable on their PC. If you didn’t have a PC capable of playing the game, I’d understand that, but anyone doing an account copy must already be playing it on their PC. I’m just sort of confused by the value proposition.

I enjoy having my games on the PS4 - it also lets my GF watch as well, which we both enjoy, and she can try it out. Something she’s not liable to do on the PC. Its a brand new control scheme, designed for the consoles as well, so its the best of all worlds.
My PC gaming friends stopped playing the game long ago, and so did I as I didn’t think the game justified the monthly fee. I have other friends that only game on console and might be getting the game. I would like to pick it up again and play it with them.

I’m still playing and enjoying but killed my sub as soon as it wasn’t needed anymore. Hope the Store works for them, as I’d like to keep playing.

I use none, but do play in Windowed(full screen) - the 2nd monitor for skyshard maps(after I’ve finished with a region), research spreadsheets and FISHING.
Do love the minimal UI.
so, when will the copy effect be available if I was to take them up on their offer? I want to do it, because even though my pc can run the game, it doesn’t run it as good as I would like…
I don’t believe a firm date has been given yet. It might give you access to a beta weekend. But you should have your character for the 9th of June release date at the latest.
