So I did this. It seems to make night or underground very dark. To the point that I have to up the gamma to see. Is this just me? The room I’m in during the day is rather brightly lit.

I’m not sure if this always been the case - it doesn’t seem to be mentioned on the store website that I can see - but you can get the first four DLC packs in a 5500 Crown bundle in-game. That’s $24. I was looking at getting some of the DLC this week and balked at the total individual prices, but I went for this instead.

That’s new as of the ESO gold bundle. It’s basically half-off.

I’ve read that sometimes the DLC will go on sale (as opposed to the crowns going on sale). So in theory, you can buy 5500 crowns now at $24, then wait for a sales on the DLC itself (black friday, maybe?) and end up with some crowns leftover for other things. (Though with the gold package at $26, I probably should have just bought that instead of the base game. Bah.)

I’m tempted to do this, but I’m also tempted to just play it as-is for now, and sub at some point. $15/mo gets you all DLC + 1500 crowns/mo + crafting bag. And people swear by that bag. I really don’t want to buy the DLC now, and then end up subbing anyway (no offense Zenimax).

You get DLC access while subscribed, you don’t actually unlock the DLC permanently. FWIW.

Right. I just meant I’d feel silly paying $25 (or $50 full price) for the DLC just to end up subscribing and getting the DLC anyway - assuming I then stay subbed.

The crafting bag is a very big deal. Seriously.

Hmm. For me, Vogue FX is a subtle enhancement, which just help the colors to ‘pop’ a bit (the default game is fairly blue-shifted), but without washing it out like some older reshade profiles I tried. It didn’t seem to do anything drastic with dark areas. The scroll-lock key will toggle things (or you might have to bind a key to do so in the options) - that might help you judge if it is Reshade or just your settings.

Agreed. You need to get it for at least a month, and then stuff every single ingredient/crafting mat into it possible. Particularly when you’re starting out and you don’t have much in terms of bag/bank space. After your sub expires, everything you’ve acquired remains accessible from the bag, you just can’t add more into it.

PSA: If you don’t have a stamina sorcerer, level one. Easily my favorite character, by a very large margin.

One thing playing my stamina sorc has really revealed to me, is the inherent advantages of playing a stamina based character. Not only the obvious advantages of having a much bigger (and faster refreshing) pool to draw from for things like sneak, sprint, block, roll, dodge etc, but as a stamina user, there are a lot of useful magic dumps you can slot. If you run a magicka class, you don’t dare use a stamina dump, as you always have to worry about needing it for defense.
All of this is true x10 for sorcerers, who have some amazing magic dumps as a stamina build.

Most fun I’ve had in an MMO in a very long time. This game change is great, it’s like a better version of Skyrim in every way possible now.

I actually fixed this by tinkering with my nvidia settings. They were essentially vanilla since I only recently got the laptop. Thanks for the help.

Out of curiosity, which settings did you end up tinkering with?

And dangit Ultrazen - I don’t need more alts!

Desktop brightness, gamma and digital vibrance.

Stamina Sorc used to be my alt…muuuahahahaha. I actually ran the same delve back to back last night with different characters, which really cemented my sta sorc as my new main. I’ve been concentrating on leveling alts during the exp buff, but now I don’t even care lol.

In my case, saying “alt” is a bit silly. I’m still totally new, and just have a bunch of characters rolled up trying to map out race/class/gender combos. For some reason I’m compelled to try to have a mix of everything. As if I have time to play them all.

Your enthusiasm for stamsorc is interesting though. I had finally somewhat settled on magtemp, just because of the ability to also go heals later on. Still unsettled on race (pretty sure Breton, however - now it is down to ‘looks’). Fairly sure stamsorc will be Redguard, so I may end up playing that just because I don’t have a choice to bother with!

Due to certain persons here I have:

Tossed cash at the game. Got the Imperial upgrade. Also put out for 90 days of plus. That gets me the crafting bag.

Started an Imperial stamina sorceror. Wow.

Now I’m at a birthday party for my step daughter. I want my ESO!

Yeah, this really is a great game. I’m very happy they were able to overcome the negative press at release. The game definitely had issues but I think they’ve been rectified long ago.

The quests, which I usually couldn’t care less about in an MMO, are just outstanding.

I am in hell. I am watching people bowling that seem to have heard of bowling by word of mouth. Via several iterations of Google translate.

I have quests to do!

Rich maybe they think low score wins?

Also I hate all your jokes because now I’m thinking man… Maybe a stam sorcerer would be a good thing to play. Meanwhile my current guy is at level 10 or something ridiculously low like that.

I have five alts. All are at level six. But the stam sorc got to six in literally minutes. Maybe because it’s an Imperial? I don’t think that’s all of it. AOE and lightning form FTW.
