Maybe I’m a book off, but don’t they also have to resolve the biggest fight in the whole series, when Marcos takes over the ring gates and the Mormon ship and installs all the railguns, etc. etc.?
Seems like that’s the logical conclusion of the series.
I don’t think so, given that episode one opened on Laconia.
This may be old news, but I learned from an io9 comments section that the 5-minute shorts that accompany each episode are tucked away in Amazon’s X-ray pause menu
They don’t appear to be available via the Roku app, but I was able to find them in the iOS app
In other words, you have to start an episode to start a different video. Weird!
I see them on Xbox but not on Roku. Weird. Well now I have more to watch tonight!
I have no idea how this show is supposed to have any kind of satisfying resolution to its story or any of its characters with one remaining episode.
They are super-hard to find, even on Amazon’s own Firestick. If I hadn’t been told about their existence, there is zero chance I would have stumbled onto them.
I usually exit out of each show during the credits, so I figured out the best way to see these is to go back to the episode and “resume”.
Then when the credits are running, I do the up function in the fire stick to access x-ray or whatever it’s called and then scroll over to bonus content.

“WITH you or with YOU?” was so perfectly delivered.
Uh I watch on Amazon prime itself. What shorts are you guys talking about?

I’m worried about this as well. There’s a lot of stuff up in the air and I’d hate them to pull a GoT conclusion to the series.
It turns out each episode of season 6 has been accompanied by a 5-minute short. The series of shorts is called “One Ship” and explores various crew interactions
For devices that support Amazon’s x-ray feature – but not on Roku – in addition to seeing links to cast members, there should also be a link to bonus content. The One Ship shorts should be listed in there

Episode 5 of season 6 might be the most intense episode of nothing but conversation I’ve ever seen.
If it was the 5th ep of a 10 ep season, it would be great. But I sat there the entire time, from the post-ring planet scene with the girl and her brother to every other scene, wondering how all of this wraps up in just one more episode in any kind of satisfying way. I guess we’ll find out in a few more days.
So tomorrow night is really the last episode? Really?
Maybe they’ll surprise us and there will be 4 more, or it will be a 3 hour episode

Episode 6 dropped early, in US at least. It’s 64 mins. Description says season finale, not series.
Gonna miss this show. Fantastic conclusion.

I didn’t think it worked as well (though it wasn’t catastrophic like Game of Thrones). The shooty-shooty bits were quite good, but otherwise there were pretty big holes. (1) the Laconia stuff doesn’t belong and adds nothing. It was never connected back into the rest of the story and never will be unless that serves as a jumping off point for a spin-off that covers the remaining books. (2) the six episodes were far too compressed and brief. Whole secondary plots are discarded from the books and the beats that are left make the action seem more repetitive than it should because that’s all that remains. Inaros could have been killed a million other ways this season and nothing of substance would have changed (3) the overly tight pacing doesn’t give the characters time to stretch, and so the epilogue that is supposed to give them satisfying closure feels unearned and unfolds glacially. (4) to summarize - it’s kind of amazing that there are too few minutes in the last season as a whole, yet every second of the Laconia story plus most of that 9 minute epilogue felt mostly pointless to me.
