It sounds like these Ford plants have literally hundreds of Harvey Weinstein, and Ford has failed to stop the systemic harassment. Sexual predators come in many flavors, white, black, brown, rich or poor, white collar or blue collar.

I saw one of the reporters on the Newshour, the team spent months on this story.

Betsy should file a police report. Most of those stores are well covered by cameras, and I’m thinking there would probably be evidence of what happened that would help her out. This is also pretty recent, since he didn’t make the team until 2015, well within the statute of limitations.

Just naming him isn’t retribution. Go to the police, there isn’t much that socially calling people out will do, minus perhaps losing their job. But jail time … that might at least slow people like this down. Hopefully.

There just has to be more than the stories.

Here’s why:

The Twins released a statement in regard to Bissen’s tweets a few hours after she posted the allegations. In the brief comment, they say they “take these allegations very seriously” but won’t say anything further until they have more information about the alleged assault.

In other words, the team will hold on to their high priced player until someone forces their hand.

Unfortunately, unless I missed something in the context, in the most serious allegation against Miguel Sano there were no cameras and the only witnesses appear to have been Sano’s agent and the owner of a sports memorabilia store.

That sucks, then. She’s left with the team probably doing nothing, and nothing happening to Sano.

The NFL has found itself in a mess trying to “pass judgement” on it’s players for off the field activities. I don’t remember off hand the MLB doing anything like that. I think in the end it comes down to the players unions. The MLB has a very strong players union.

I don’t know off-hand if there’s precedent for whatever this would qualify as.

I forgot about him. Yes, he was suspended for domestic violence. And he was a high profile player. But it wasn’t his team that did it, it was the league. Much like the NFL players.

New year, new spate of allegations…

And a new wrinkle. I didn’t do it whatever somebody is going to say I did!

And perhaps the start of some pushback:

That was a particularly stupid statement from Deneuve, unsurprisingly.

errr his smug looking “sober” coach isn’t doing him any favors.

I can almost see an Onion article on this: Smug Sounding Asshole Surprisingly Turns Out to be Sexually Abusive.

He was recently on a WTF podcast episode where him and Marc ended up talking for about 2 and half hours. It never got boring for me, and I wish they’d talked for another few hours instead of cutting it short. It turned me around on James Franco at the time. What can sound smug can sometimes just be not bothering to patiently cultivate a public persona. I don’t know, overall he sounded like a very interesting guy.

I wonder at what point your thinking being romanced by someone who could get you work becomes more than just romance? I mean is there romance in Hollywood that isn’t job related?

I know, I do believe 99% of the stuff that has come out,

And yea, Franco has always been to me one of those guys I could like and hate at the same time.

I don’t know, I think it is exactly his talks that do make me want to vomit. I don’t need to hear about Yale or his poetry reading. Every time I’ve heard him, he just sounds insufferable, like he is always working very hard to let me know how different and brilliant he is.

He was great in 127 Hours, though.

Well, at least he’s got some practice apologizing.
