You are implicitly endorsing the Trumpist “never acknowledge, never apologize” line.

I honestly do not see how.

Except she wasn’t, all she did ask for was a proper investigation that she wasn’t afforded and that BK defenders (and himself) railed against.

Sorry, to be clear, I don’t think Kavanaugh did nothing wrong. I believe Christine Ford. I was just saying that the dismissive approach that Jane Mayer was taking in her New Yorker article, and Matt_W appears to be adopting, would lead one to dismiss Kavanaugh’s accusers as well.

While this is very funny, this isn’t actually a local film student doing the voiceover. It’s actor/podcaster James Urbaniak, possibly best known for his work in The Venture Bros. as Dr. Venture, doing a bit.

Well, he did say “spoof.”

Fair.

I am just listening to this right now

They get their day in court at least, so many of these cases are too old for that.

Zoe Quinn has accused a developer of the darling indie game A Night in the Woods, Alec Holowka, of sexual and psychological abuse, following another designer coming forward with serious allegations against Elder Scrolls composer Jeremy Soule.

Yay, gamergate 2.0 incoming =\

Get out!

From Meg Jayanth (80 Days) and others on Alexis Kennedy:

Tragic. First and foremost for the victims, of course, but it’s hard to hear stories like this about a developer one admires (and really don’t want to believe) from other developers one admires. Though, I believed it when I first read about it from Jayanth, and reading corroboration from Short and others just underlines this. Doubly tragic to realize that this is/was apparently an open secret in the industry.

I guess I shouldn’t be surprised, given the maturity displayed by a large segment of the games industry in general, but still… ugh.

And just to underline it:

That’s the company he founded, coming down on the side of the accusers.

To be fair, they don’t have much of a choice. Better to upset one guy than the internet.

Or perhaps it’s just an honest response from them instead of damage control.

Pfft.
